bringing birthday celebrations to an end and starting 2026 strong with some bachata! 🤍

feeling so loved at @bosdance, forever grateful for the friends i’ve met through dance (at BOS, even!), and so happy to share the circle with @danielchong.bachata — happy early birthday! 😝

Contrary to popular belief, flexibility and mobility are both covered under ‘strength training’.

Shifu from Kung Fu Panda put it well : “it takes years to develop one’s flexibility, and years longer to apply it to combat”. Mobility is applied flexibility.

Holding a pose is being flexible. Touching your toes, Doing the splits, flexible. But moving your joints around without pain? That’s mobility.

Mobility is one of the healthiest, almost vital, things you can do for your body, regardless of your age. What use is it to be big or strong or lean if your joints hurt?

had a great time teaching @soaslatinamericansoc a little beginners bachata class with @agatha.soleil ❤️

i definitely have a lot to work on still but every experience is a learning one! it was nice to reflect on being on the teaching end of a class, and just being able to share my love for dance with others—stay tuned for a potential second class 😉

This weekend, I got the chance to dance in a Jack & Jill final for the very first time!
It was bachata instead of salsa (so already a bit out of my comfort zone), but I actually really enjoyed the qualifiers, such a fun experience dancing with all those people knowing ways to switch roles mid-dance. It was really inspiring.

If you know me, you also know I’m definitely not a bachata girl. I still feel pretty unsure when it comes to leading… and let’s be honest, sometimes even following (especially with all the sensual shit).

But I did put in a little extra effort for this comp, and somehow made it to the final!
Halfway through, the nerves hit me hard, I felt so anxious I nearly got sick.
Luckily, my partner @agatha.soleil was all smiles and knew the song by heart, which totally saved us from disaster. 😄

It was definitely not a perfect dance, but I’m happy with how it went, and grateful I got the chance to dance a full song on that stage, in front of the whole festival.

Thanks @danceforcharityfestival for organising this competition! Next year salsa? Xx

🎥 @geniaprod thanks for the video!
