Looks like the Irish air was good for us. ☘️🇮🇪

Play nailed all 8 courses and the final this weekend even with a slightly out-of-shape handler. 😂🥇🥇🥈🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇

But honestly, the results were only part of it. I absolutely loved this show. Great courses, a lovely atmosphere, perfect weather and back to enjoying Agility.
Everything just felt right. 💖

Now we’re slowly making our way towards Scotland… 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

STRIKE 1 to G4! Eeek. Mabel WINS her Agility class at a windy Otley DTS with a speedy clear run and it couldn’t have come at a better time for me. So happy!

Keeping it real, we’ve struggled a bit recently with a lot of Eliminations despite really flying in training. It takes its toll after a while and I know I’m not alone in feeling that or going through those runs. I think we’d had 9 straight Es before today’s win. A lot are because I’m sticking to criteria as much as possible and redoing things (which I will 1000% thank myself for in the long run but still sucks after a while) and the others are just new partnership teething bits. It’s to be expected - she’s competitively rapid in any class and that means the margin for error is split seconds between a win or an elimination a lot of the time.

She is running so incredibly well for a dog who’s just turned 2 and I need to remind myself how young she is sometimes - and that I’m essentially learning how to handle a big dog for the first time.

I’m so proud of her and myself for the progress we’ve made in a short time. I’m also really thankful for my supportive friends and crew - I think we’ve all had our own battles with this. I also feel like part of it comes from how hard we all work and how normalised doing well is in our group. And not in a bad way. All our dogs are so talented and we all look out for each other. I LOVE seeing my friends doing well and know they feel the same. I think this weekend has made me realise that it’s important to remind ourselves that ALL OF US go through lots of runs that don’t go well and that’s just part of the process! The next progression is learning to embrace that process and keep a clear head with it.

Chuffed to bits to be running so well together. Thank you to @rubysagilitylife @agilityrose @paige3 Ella, Kay, Carol @gretters @emmascott9453 and everyone we hung out with at Otley this weekend. You guys are the best 🫶

Thanks as always to @freymorjen and @martinreidagility @intoshapeagility for all the training on this journey. We appreciate it very much!

Excellent weekend at @iconixagility. No results today with a couple of handling mishaps from me but pretty blown away by the skills and runs we’ve put together this weekend. We’ve proofed contacts and tried things I’d normally treat as too risky at a show whilst in limbo and had the best time with friends. You always leave IconiX knowing more people than when you started and I leave very excited for the season ahead with the special one. She turns 2 tomorrow. Have to remind myself what a baby she is at this game sometimes 🫶

Thanks to everyone who made it special. Special shout to @agilityrose @abby_blythe @paige341 @ivy.noodles and Sarah in particular for the support and good times!

Proud of our crew this weekend. So many achievements and firsts with all of the dogs looking phenomenal 🥺

Some of the baby dogs were at their first outdoor show getting Clear Round wins, we had 5 (!) of the group dogs qualifying for the Warrior Final (with special shout to @agility.spaniels winning it 🏆 and @agilityrose 🥉!), really competitive runs all weekend by everyone and so much lifting each other up, laughs and support - I think we’ll all have lots of fun this season! 🫶

Amazing weekend and super hero dogs.
