Coming up this weekend we have a two hour class all about cutting stained glass. Amy and Vanessa of A Glass Fantasy have a combined 50+ years of experience working with stained glass and will give you all of their tricks and hacks to be successful with your glass projects. It is a great complement to our mosaic, stained and fused glass classes. I’ve been cutting glass for 30+ years and still learn something new when sitting in on one of these classes! We don’t make a project, so no pressure there, just practice, practice, practice! For more information and to register, visit CopperCatStudio.com. Class is this Sunday at 10am. ✨✨✨ Copper Cat Studio is an artisan studio hosting 150-180 workshops a year in various mediums for ages 15+. Almost all our workshops are suitable for beginners, but many students repeat classes over and over because there is always something new to learn! We also have a gallery and giftshop representing over 20 local artisans. We are a small, curated space where you can be assured every item has been lovingly created by artisans who make a living at their art. We also have the area’s only mosaic, stained and fused glass supply. We are located at 300 Kresge Lane in Sparks, south of I80 off McCarran between Glendale and Greg. We are open Tuesdays-Thursdays 11am-4pm, and Saturdays-Sundays 11am-3pm. Reach out if you need to come by before, after or on our “closed” days. I’m usually here well past posted hours! #coppercatstudio #stainedglassclass #stainedglass #renosparks #thingstodoinreno @aglassfantasy

It’s summertime and sandal season, so I guess the time to remind students to please know what kind of class you are signed up for and if proper footwear is required. If MOLTEN METAL is involved, there is no budging from safety precautions of wearing shoes that completely cover your feet. It’s clearly stated that if you show up in sandals that you will not be able to participate. ✔️ It’s in BOLD typeface on the website class description. ✔️ It’s in ALL CAPS on the ticket. ✔️ It’s in ALL CAPS in the confirmation email. ✔️ It’s in ALL CAPS in the logistics email. ✔️ You literally have to click on a box when purchasing the ticket saying that you are aware of this policy. Buying a class ticket for someone else? Make sure they read the ticket, website description, confirmation or logistics email. Coming to class as a guest? Simply read the class description on the website to know what kind of class you are attending. I’ve said this multiple times, but enforcing this and the cancellation policy is the worst part of my job. -Katie @aglassfantasy
