🍝 MONTH 1: From Grocery Store Skills to the Kitchen! 🛒👩‍🍳
Month 1 was all about building the foundation — learning how to navigate the grocery store, read labels, compare prices, choose ingredients, and make smart food decisions.

But learning the skills is only half the journey… putting them into practice is where the magic happens! 🙌

This month, we took what we learned at the grocery store and turned those skills into a real meal: SPAGHETTI! 🍝❤️

From planning the ingredients and shopping with purpose to preparing, cooking, and sitting down to enjoy the finished dish — this was a full-circle moment.

🛒 Learn the skill.
🥕 Choose the ingredients.
👩‍🍳 Put it into practice.
🍝 Create the meal.

Month 1 = skills learned, confidence built, and a delicious meal accomplished! 🎉

And this is just the beginning… What’s cooking next? 👀🔥

Happy Mother’s Day to my beautiful daughter — a true force to be reckoned with. 💐
A generational curse breaker.
A once single teenage mom who refused to give up.
Now a college graduate, entrepreneur, compassionate woman of God, and a blessing to so many people around her.
You continue to inspire with your strength, resilience, and heart for others… even if you don’t always answer your phone 😂.
I love you deeply and I’m so proud of the woman you’ve become. Keep shining, keep trusting God, and keep walking in purpose. Happy Mother’s Day! 💕🙏🏽

Hosted in partnership with Commissioner Maxwell B. Chambers and the City of Miramar, the evening honored Bereaved Moms, Cancer Warriors, and Domestic Violence Survivors, along with our Lou Legacy Honorees and the Lou Next Gen Youth. Every part of the night reflected Lou’s light and the mission to turn pain into purpose.

Honoring Courage & Awareness
Powerful testimonies from two honorees that touched every heart in the room, reminding us of the strength found in faith and resilience.

Our Lou Legacy Honorees received yellow roses, beautiful awards, and heartfelt gifts in recognition of their unwavering support. For the first time, we presented our Lou Next Gen Awards to our YoungPreneurs, who also received micro-grants, certificates, and gifts for their creativity, leadership, and service. Two of them, Yasir and Serene, were honored with the Presidential Award for Outstanding Volunteerism, complete with a medal, pin, and an official letter from President Joe Biden.

Guests enjoyed an unforgettable dining experience by our amazing Chef Sammy @s.m.s_kitchen sweet desserts sponsored by @4dstastysweetsandtreats The atmosphere was full of energy, joy & love as DJ @speakerbox3o5 kept the celebration alive well into the night.

Then came the biggest surprise, our Co-Founder, Dr. Fab, was presented with a Proclamation from Mayor Daniella Levine Cava and the Miami-Dade County Commission, officially declaring October 24th as Dr. Fabiola Constant Day in Miami-Dade County!

A Night of Impact ✨From our honorees and sponsors to every guest, volunteer & partner ✨ your love made this evening possible. Together we continue to shine Lou’s light, empower families & create healing spaces where faith & community thrive.

Thank you for helping us keep Lou’s legacy alive, with every smile, every hug and every act of kindness.

Dearest Gentle Reader,

I can confirm this was indeed the event of the season. 💎
.
.

In all seriousness, this past weekend I experienced something truly unforgettable, being celebrated by my community at HACCOF’s 10th Annual YoPro Awards Gala as one of the Class of 2025 Top 20 Under 40 Young Professionals. ✨
.
.
To be recognized in this way is humbling, and I know it is not by my strength alone. First and foremost, I thank God for His guidance and grace over my journey. 🙏🏾
.
.
I am grateful for my tribe who showed up and celebrated with me, for my mentors who have poured into me with wisdom and love, compassion and sometimes a good heart check, for the trailblazers who created the path I now walk. This recognition is not just my own, it is a reflection of all of you. 💙❤️
.
.
Special thanks to Chairman @prinstonjeanglaude and YOPRO Chairwoman @katiaphilippeaux, Mr. Jeff Lozama, Executive Director Candace Mondesir, Operations Manager Naed Désire, and the rest of the leadership team.

Thank you to every single person who has prayed for me, donated, supported, and encouraged me on along the way. You are part of this win.
.
.
To the past YOPROs, thank you for setting the standard and paving the way. To the future YOPROS, I pray that we make you proud and keep the flame of Haitian excellence burning bright in the SoFlo and beyond. And to my fellow Class of 2025 honorees, Congratulations again, it was an honor to stand beside you and celebrate our collective shine. I know this is only the inception of budding and long-lasting friendships; y’all are so cool, forreal. I know our individual and collective journeys aren’t done and I can’t wait to witness all the great things we have yet to accomplish.
.
.
This is only the beginning. The marathon continues. 🏁
.
.
Although the celebration has ended. The work isn’t done. Please look into donating monetarily, through talents, and time to help this great organization.
.
.
