📣 Are you an employer in the F&B or hospitality sector looking to make your workplace more inclusive? Over two Inclusive Employment Trainings held by Agonista in collaboration with @tripulley_lebanon, 11 employers came together to explore how they can create more inclusive and supportive workplaces. Through interactive activities and sessions led by Agonista’s team, with the support of Dr. Anita El Hajj and the Tri-Pulley team, the trainings covered workplace inclusion, accommodations, inclusive recruitment and HR practices, and ways to overcome barriers to employment. Now, Agonista is looking for more employers in the F&B and hospitality sectors to welcome trained persons with disabilities for two-month internships. 💁🏻‍♂️✅ The interns are part of a group of 24 participants who completed Agonista’s vocational training program, building their work readiness, vocational, social, and life skills in preparation for workplace opportunities. The journey has already started 🙌🏼 @hayat.doner.alturki.official has welcomed one intern to their team. Interested in welcoming an intern and being part of this initiative? How do you start conversations around the inclusion of persons with disabilities in the workplace in a way that is engaging, practical, and approachable? Through Tri-pulley’s interactive game, companies were introduced to key concepts related to job inclusion through real life case studies, discussions, challenges, and simple workplace scenarios. The game helped participants reflect on the importance and advantages of employing persons with disabilities from both a social and business perspective, while also discovering that inclusion often requires small and realistic adaptations rather than complicated changes. By using interaction and role play, the session created space for questions, reflection, and open discussion around stereotypes, workplace culture, accessibility, communication, and team dynamics. This activity also served as an introduction to a deeper training on the topic conducted by Agonista. This initiative is supported by the CDCS (French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs @francediplo @lafranceauliban ) and managed by makesense MENA."

@SceneTraveller: Across the MENA region, people with disabilities often face invisible barriers—simple things we take for granted, like ordering a coffee, enjoying a meal, or being part of a community. Too often, spaces aren’t built to include them, leaving talent, creativity, and connection untapped. But some regional cafés and restaurants are changing the game. These aren’t just businesses—they’re hubs of inclusion, where people with disabilities aren’t accommodated, they’re celebrated. From teaching sign language to staffing kitchens entirely with differently abled talent, these spaces are proof that hospitality can be bold, human, and inclusive. Here are eight inclusive cafés and restaurants across the Middle East that are flipping the script and showing how it’s done. Full guide at SceneTraveller.com. 🖋️ Serag Heiba
