Year 2 summer band camp at Arcadia complete!

It is a privilege and an honor to continue to learn and grow as an educator alongside these dedicated performers! I feel like they've taught me just as much as I have taught them!

I cannot wait to see where this group ends up in November! 💙❤️🔥🗡

For my first season teching, it couldn't have gone any better. Arcadia is such a special place with a storied history of excellence, and the vibes from both the kids and staff were always great. Tuesdays and Saturdays were always the highlight of my week.

Big thank you to Nate and the other staff for taking me in regardless of my lack of experience and my age. Your trust in me let me grow so much as an educator and learn lessons you can't find anywhere but on the field.

Another thank you to Dylan specifically. With you as caption head, I was able to not worry as much about big picture stuff and could pick on individual details in ways I wouldn't have been able to otherwise. The collaborative creative process of choreographing the sword fight was an unforgettable experience.

And of course, I need to thank the students. What a bunch of swashbuckling badasses. No matter the weather, no matter how much light was on the field, they always showed up eager to listen and learn. It's rare for kids to ask for MORE CHOREO, to push staff as hard as they push them, but they did all of that. I am so so proud of these performers. They absolutely maxed out their show.

Same time next year? ❤️🏴‍☠️💙
