It’s called fashion journalism, actually. 💅🥂

The calendar is full, the outfits are planned (mostly), and apparently sleep is optional.

Had a morning of great conversion and connection for Manufacturing in an ethical way in partnership with Freedom Trade Companies in Cambodia at @aibichicago as well as checking out all of these impeccable quality deadstock accessories made in partnership with Nearly Klahan.

Neary Klahan means brave women.

Neary Klahan gives women trained as artisans and seamstresses through NGOs the opportunity to sew from home, using their skills to earn supplemental income to support their families.

Great news! They will be selling these and many more accessories tomorrow at Loop Arts Fest on State Street tomorrow, if you’re around be sure to stop by and admired the work of many talented woman. I have fomo since I’m at school all day tomorrow. 🥲

The @chicagofashionsummit on 10.13.2026 was AMAZING! Wow, I am still feeling blown away.

I am humbled and honored to have been a part of such an impactful day with incredible speakers and fashion icons and legends... @elietahari, @jeffreybanksdesign, @cd.greene. 🤩

My panel, "The AI Edit: Navigating The New Era of Fashion & Creativity", kicked off the event. I loved the conversation with speakers @jaybcarlile (CDW), @brittanyjceo (Microsoft), and @mayaleeb Leeb (Carmeleon).

The film, United States of Elie Tahari, by @davidsereroproductions was brilliant. 📽️

Each panel brought great topics to the forefront and I left feeling inspired by all of the greatness in this industry!

Thank you @aibichicago for putting this day together!

What happens when technology moves faster than fashion?

That was one of the big questions at this year’s Chicago Fashion Summit.

Hosted by the Apparel Industry Board, the event brought together designers, industry leaders, and innovators to discuss the future of fashion.

From artificial intelligence to sustainability, the conversations went well beyond the runway.

One discussion that stood out came from Maya Leeb, founder of Carmeleon, who raised concerns about AI-generated product images misrepresenting fabrics and contributing to returns.

Sustainability was another important conversation, challenging the industry to think about its environmental impact, responsible production, and what meaningful progress actually looks like.

And a personal highlight? Meeting legendary fashion designer Elie Tahari.

My biggest takeaway?

Fashion’s future isn’t just about innovation. It’s about balancing technology, sustainability, creativity, and craftsmanship.

And I love seeing Chicago at the center of these conversations.

Stay in the know for more fashion, culture, and the places worth knowing.

Couture, craftsmanship and where fashion goes next. I enjoyed leading a one-on-one conversation with legendary designer @cd.greene at the Chicago Fashion Summit hosted by @aibichicago

Known for his beautiful couture designs for icons including Tina Turner, Beyoncé, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, CD had so much to share about his career and the work behind the garments.

We talked about AI, technology, fast fashion and what it takes to create something exceptional. I wanted to explore how the industry is changing and why craftsmanship still matters.

Great stories, great insight and so good seeing everyone!
