🎧 Keyboard Spotlight @play_keyboard x @swag_keys SMURVE80 I still remember watching Mum type away on her typewriter when I was little girl. Something felt so magical about itthe sound, the rhythm, the little 'ding' at the end of a line. 🥹 I think that’s where my love for vintage things began. And when the Smurve80 Transparent White ‘First Light’… it felt like a little piece of that memory, but with a modern twist. 🤍 With a little encouragement from legends @ebii.coo + @aidan_builds, I finally got my hands on one and honestly, it’s been such a joy. Solenoid on = A little trip down memory lane, every time I type. 🧪 Lab Test Wednesday (a recommendation from @aidan_builds) 3 switches. 1 keyboard (Neo75). Same test conditions. @hmxswitch Hydra (@unikeyboardsofficial) Clack: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thock: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Crispness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bottom-out: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ @gateron.switch × Sillyworks Type R (@keebzncables) Clacky: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Thock: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Crispness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Bottom-out: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ HMX Retro J (@unikeyboardsofficial) Clack: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thock: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ Crispness: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Bottom-out: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ 🏆 Lab verdict. imo Type R take the crown — deeper, fuller & smooth and has a 2.2mm pre-travel which gives it that very immediate, compact tactile event that benchmark/OG.
