We are very excited to finally announce that, funded by @heysmilefoundation in association with Dementia Friendly East Riding, we are turning our play “The Memory Project”, into a short film that will be distributed to schools in Hull and East Yorkshire, and we have a brilliant cast involved!

We cannot wait to get this project up and running and continue our commitment to raising dementia-awareness in young people, especially at such a difficult time for those living with and caring for people with dementia.

Meet one of our Writers, Aidan Thompson-Coates! Aidan is an actor, writer and director, based in Hull in the United Kingdom. He wrote the first Hull production ever to be streamed internationally in 2017 and followed this up with writing the first ever UK Pride theatre production the same year. Aidan founded his theatre company, ApposArt, in 2016, where he combines theatre and cinema in his productions to raise awareness of various important and often sheltered issues, to bring them to our attention. Through this work, he has raised over £2,000 for charities across the UK. Aidan loves to explore all colours of life in his writing, finding light in shade and vice versa, and is looking forward to exploring this further through this project.

So...we've been a bit quiet recently. Due to closure of Hull Truck Theatre, due to COVID-19, #CLOUDED has been cancelled. In the meantime, we have put together a #30DAYMONOLOGUECHALLENGE where these 18 actors will be undertaking 30 monologues each for 30 days, choosing/writing, rehearsing, recording and uploading one every day. You may have already seen this on their respective channels! This whole challenge is to raise money for the NHS in this time of hardship, to express our thanks and gratitude 🖤 if you can spare anything at all, please consider donating to our fundraiser which you can find in our bio 😁 watch out for some examples of the work the actors have been doing on here over the coming days! #theatre #actors #acting #NHS #Covid19 #creative #fundraiser #challenge #exciting #monologue #monologues #performance
