This weekend was about a dream coming true. Watching @aidenr45 get drafted was something my family and I will never forget. What an incredible honor it was to witness the moment all of his hard work, discipline, and sacrifices paid off. Congratulations, Aiden! You earned every second of it.
But today, I want to give flowers to someone else... my dear friend @chrissy1328
You are one of the strongest women I know—tough as nails, yet with the softest heart. Life hasn’t always been easy, but you never used your circumstances as an excuse. Instead, you used them as fuel to build the life you believed your family deserved, doing it all with faith, humility, grit, and endless love.
As I watched Aiden celebrate one of the biggest moments of his life, I couldn’t stop thinking about the woman who helped make that moment possible. Every early morning, every late night, every practice, every sacrifice, and every prayer led to this.
We’ve shared so much life together. From doing your eyebrows and makeup for your senior pictures, to surviving college, pulling all-nighters studying, getting homesick together, celebrating victories, and carrying each other through life’s highs and lows—we’ve truly grown up together.
One of the greatest gifts in my life was becoming moms again just months apart. Our kids grew up running back and forth between our houses, building a friendship and memories they’ll cherish forever. Watching them grow up together has been one of my greatest blessings.
I’ve watched you pour your heart into your children, showing up for every milestone, every challenge, and every dream. Behind every great accomplishment is a mother and father who never stopped believing, never stopped praying, and never stopped showing up.
While everyone was celebrating Aiden—and rightfully so—I found myself in awe of you. I am so proud to call you my friend. Your children are beyond blessed to call you Mom, and I hope you truly soak in this moment because you earned it too.
Congratulations, my beautiful friend. ❤️
