🌱 World Cleanup Day 2026 | Day 19 of 20

What if we stopped seeing waste as the end of the story? ♻️🌍

With the right choices, yesterday’s leftovers can become tomorrow’s resource. Let’s keep the cycle going and turn what we throw away into something valuable. 💚

Nothing useful should go to waste.

🌍 World CleanUp Day 2026 in Benue State

DevTrain Nigeria joined fellow Benue environmentalists and community groups to mark this global environmental action.

Together, we cleaned up the drainages and waste sites at Railway and Wurukum Market communities, raised awareness, and helped build a cleaner, greener Benue.

Every hand made a difference. Let's keep the momentum going beyond today—sustainable habits, stronger communities, and a healthier environment for all.

Thank you to every volunteer who showed up and made an impact!

Today, our team leads at Aidwell Development Foundation participated in the Town Hall Meeting on Youth Representation in African Parliaments, hosted by the Legislative Mentorship Initiative (LMI).

The engagement provided an important platform to reflect on the barriers limiting young people’s participation in legislative politics and to explore practical pathways for strengthening youth representation across African parliaments.

Key discussions focused on the high cost of political participation, limited access to political networks and resources, political party structures, electoral reforms, mentorship, leadership development, civic education, and other measures that can create genuine opportunities for young people to participate meaningfully in governance.

At Aidwell Development Foundation, we believe that young people should not only be beneficiaries of policies and programmes; they must also have a meaningful voice in shaping the policies and decisions that affect their lives and communities.

Creating more inclusive democratic institutions requires deliberate action from political parties, policymakers, civil society organizations, young leaders and other stakeholders.

We are pleased to have contributed to this important conversation and remain committed to advancing youth participation, leadership and inclusive governance.

The future of Africa is young, but young people must also have a place in shaping Africa’s present.
