I am so eternally grateful that I chose to serve the lord and the people of Fort Worth Texas the last 2 years for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day saints. The experiences I had have changed my life forever! I will be giving my homecoming talk this Sunday, March 8 at 12pm at this address: 3775 S. Greenfield Rd. ALL ARE WELCOME! OFA ATU❤️

My precious, perfect, angel Brix! My little b, my bubby. Words can’t adequately express how much I will miss you and your sweet spirit. You were too perfect for this world and have fulfilled your mission here. While your short life here on earth was extraordinarily hard you changed so many lives, including mine. 🫶🏻

I can just picture you RUNNING into Jesus’ arms with your fully restored body and going to see the ducks. No limitations or physical ailments; a perfect body. We are all SO proud of you. Thank you for all the little things you gave us this week and for showing us you will still be with us. Thank you for teaching me how to be strong and for making me an auntie. You are so special and I will miss you beyond measure. Being your aunt has been the greatest gift I’ve been given. I love you endlessly precious boy.

Until we met again, my little love 🪽🤍🦆

I made it🎓🥹

It was so special and emotional getting to walk across the stage last night and receive my bachelors degree with all of my most favorite people watching and cheering me on. After not finishing high school and getting my GED because of my transplant, I was determined to finish this degree. It took almost 7 years but I am so proud that I FINISHED this, for myself! I really could not have done it without Hyrum and my supportive family…they pushed me when I wanted to quit. And of course I can’t fail to mentioned how thankful I am for GB…for providing this incredible opportunity for me. It was another motivating factor in all of this (IYKYK)!

Here’s to never doing school ever again🥳🍾

a huge chapter of my life has officially closed. the last 6 years have been some of hardest, yet most rewarding years of my life.

i have been broken down and built back up more times than i can count. through it all, i am grateful because i found myself to my core. i learned to stand up for myself and for my teammates. i lost the love of the game and found an even stronger passion for it.

i am proud of who i am because of how volleyball has helped shape me. i will never take the time that i had as a student athlete for granted. i have come out of it a better person, and i have found friends for life. i have also walked away with a bachelors and a masters degree. i have accomplished more than I ever thought i was capable of. i set school records, received several conference awards, won 4 conference titles and made 5 national tournament appearances. while all of these things are special to me, nothing compares to the memories that i made with people who have helped me grow and stood by my side through all of the good and the bad.

i feel complete and whole. i am beyond grateful for my teammates, coaches, family and friends who believed in me when i didn’t believe in myself. these people supported me through every part of my journey and i could not have done it without them. i am better because of them. my parents made it to nearly every single one of my games over the last 6 years and i am forever in debt to them for that!

although my time on the court has officially come to an end and i am sad about such a huge part of my life being done, i am ready and excited to start the next chapter in my life. i have no regrets. i gave everything that i had during my time as a collegiate athlete. volleyball will forever hold such a special place in my heart.
