September, you were a big one. 🤍 My first big trip across the country with Zaya, so much laughter, time with people we love, and the day she officially became a Quirk. A month full of memories I never want to forget.

Here’s to getting back out there and doing the dang thing after 2 1/2 years. I feel more confident and prepared as a weightlifter because of @aimeeanayaeverett @lilysalisbury and lifting under such great programming and coaching. At times. I questioned my mental health when I saw an EMOM at 90% 🤣 but I feel grateful for it when I opened with my 90% and it felt great and I may have thanked you Aimee for that 💀.

Today for me, was not about maxing out or trying to hit a big total. Today was about just getting my confidence back out there and having a good day weightlifting.

@taymstephens the way that you always show up for me as a friend in a coach has changed my life. Being at @thepoundtvl and having such an incredible community has truly lifted up my mental state and very rough patches of my life. Tay- thank you for showing up with your seven week old baby. Breastfeeding in the back and then still somehow making it back out to the platform to cheer me on and coach me up. What a friend I have. And I am constantly thankful for your positive spirit.

@kristintkac i’m so thankful for you. You showed up and literally just loaded bars and counted for us. Behind the scenes smiling the entire time and just happy to be there, but also encouraging me to have fun. And if you know Kristin. That is her. Alllll of the fun. ✨✨

Thank you to my husband. You are my rock. I know you balanced a lot getting the kids out of the house and supporting me today. I love you for believing in me. Thank you. 🙏

To my besties— you know who you are!! My girlies from THE SISTERHOOD OF THE TRAVELING PLATE. you guys are my village. The friends I do every day life with. Thank you for showing up for me. You always do. There’s so much more to life than Fitness. It’s the friends that you make that help you along the way and inspire you constantly.

And to @lucymichelle343 I would like for you to refer to the last slide on here. You showed up 12 hours before me. You were my comedic relief and constant companion. My life is so funny with you in it. Proud of you.

I am doing my first meet in 2.5 years Saturday at @wheelhouse.fit post back to back injuries in two years.

Here are just a few meet prep highlights. Lots of grinding and training alone. Lots of missed reps. Made reps. Trusting the process. Learning to believe in myself. Really just as Aimee would say “being where my feet are”.

thankful for the journey. I’m thankful that pressure is a privilege and we all have a chance to make the most of opportunities that we are blessed to be given with.
I feel very confident after training 9 months with Aimee’s Ladies @aimeeanayaeverett @lilysalisbury ❤️ it’s helped my confidence and helped me dig deep (even with working nightshift and recovering 🤣).

Most of all. Thankful for my friends at @thepoundtvl who are rooting for me and love me even when I have my headphones in 🤣 see you all Saturday ✨✨

Moving through weight this morning with a wonky knee but I managed to hit that weight and I felt good for it! Could have gone up a little more but, for a heavy 5, I am pretty happy that I didn’t fail, didn’t need to pause too much between reps and got through the whole thing with sets of 3 reps leading up to my working weight.

33 squats prior to the 5 from 20 to 120 kilos. This @hwpo_lift track by @hwpotraining is super! Lead by the amazing @aimeeanayaeverett , it has really helped! Give it a crack! You won’t be disappointed!

Do the scary thing. @catalystathletics camp with Greg and @aimeeanayaeverett brought some joy and new friends into my life right when I needed them.

These are my lifts from the @girlsgonerx #fallolyopen x @hwpotraining over the past few days.

Did I do the best I could? Probably not.
Do I believe I could have lifted heavier on some of these and actually gotten better form in others? Sure.
Did I compete based on the fact that this time, the Oly Open hit home much closer and harder due to the two ladies in my life have gone through the hardship of battling cancer and dealing with my insanity? For bloody sure!

I know i didn’t do well and these numbers don’t quite represent how far I have come BUT I lifted and did it for my beloved @deb_woods1 and the Georgia Emu aka the #tougholdbird because I want to show up for them every day and make it known I am proud of them for being strong, resilient and absolutely amazing!

Coach @aimeeanayaeverett programmed the best and I have it my mediocrity best!
