Becoming a Mum seems to have this effect on you where you value your time and energy more than ever before doesn’t it?

@aimeevivian and I had such a great chat about this and how we no longer bend over backwards for people or things that don’t serve our little family anymore and it feels much easier to say no now than it did pre motherhood.

If you haven’t listened to Aimee’s episode on Dear Mum then add it to your podcast list for this week (link in my bio)

I absolutely LOVED chatting to @aimeevivian on the Dear Mum podcast 🧡

She juggles hosting her radio show on @capitalofficial and being Mum to her little girl in the most wonderful way, we talk about her village, going back to work “early”, being very very ill with sepsis after birth, mum friends, finding herself again and SO much more.

Aimee is such a joy to speak to and I just know you’re going to love this episode 🩵🎙️🎧

🐾💙 It’s #HypoAwarenessWeek! 💙🐾

This week, we’re celebrating our truly amazing Hypo Hounds and the incredible difference they make to children and families living with #type1diabetes. 🐶✨

Our Hypo Hounds are specially trained to detect changes in their child’s blood sugar and alert them when they sense a hypo helping families respond quickly and giving children an extra layer of support, reassurance and independence. 🥰

Behind every alert is an incredible bond between child and dog built on trust, love and countless hours of training. ❤️

We couldn’t be prouder of our amazing four-legged heroes and the important job they do every single day. 🐾

Here’s to our Hypo Hounds — small paws, huge hearts, and an incredible impact! 💙🐶

WARNING 🚨 Controversial Lunch (See Pic 3) - I’d been toying with this for a while and then was inspired by @aimeevivian post, this was a personal choice I made.
Chicken Caesar Salad Crouton Bag removed @marksandspencerfood @marksandspencer. agreeing that the cross contamination part of a sealed bag is the same as eating somewhere that handles Gluten, but I was in control. Interested on your thoughts?

Sometimes, the hardest part of being a Medical Therapy Dog is letting your human go…

Hypo Hound Medical Therapy Dog Aurora just wasn’t ready to let go of her partner. He had to go back to school… but Aurora had other plans. 🥹🐾💙
This moment says so much more than words ever could.
As humans, we sometimes underestimate just how extraordinary the bond is between a Medical Therapy Dog and a very special child living with Type 1 Diabetes.
Aurora isn’t simply a dog who happens to be by his side. She knows him. She watches him. She senses him.
She is there to lock away the tears through the highs, the lows, the difficult moments, the cuddles, the laughter and all the moments in between.
And sometimes, when she knows her boy is leaving, her heart simply says “Not yet.” ❤️
The connection between these incredible dogs and their Type 1 Diabetic partners is something truly special a relationship built on trust, love, instinct and an amazing level of understanding.
We may not always understand exactly what they know or how they know it… but they know their child. Aurora wasn’t quite ready to let her boy go today.

That’s the magic of a Hypo Hound. 🐶💙

Applications for our Medical Therapy Dogs are open. If you have a Type 1 Diabetic child that could benefit from the emotional support one of our amazing therapy dogs can bring - why not send us an email (please note these are not Diabetic Alert Dogs and will not alert to high or low blood sugars these are for children that have hypo awareness but need additional emotional support)
