Two unforgettable days in Redding, California, brought the fly fishing community together for a celebration of everything that makes our sport so special!

Whether you came to improve your casting, explore fly tying techniques, learn from industry leaders, connect with fellow anglers or simply immerse yourself in a community that shares your passion, FlyFest offered something for everyone.

Our 2026 highlight reel captures some of the excitement, energy and memorable moments from Redding, but it only scratches the surface of the friendships formed, knowledge exchanged, skills developed and inspiration that attendees carried home.

To everyone who attended, presented, volunteered, exhibited or helped make FlyFest 2026 such a success, THANK YOU! You are what makes this gathering so special.

PHYSYX SPEY

We recently had the chance to toss around St. Croix’s newest iteration of their two hander. This rod proved to be nothing short of a contender with its ability to bomb Skagit casts cross river, while still offering delicate traditional presentations on a short / mid belly line.

While the one fish we did stick into on this trip got away, we can promise that the Physyx will be getting plenty of time on the water this winter, putting fish to hand.

Another Dealer Days in the books here in Montrose, Colorado.

Last week, we welcomed fly shops, industry friends, and partners from across the country back to our home at Mayfly Outdoors. A few days filled with familiar faces, new friendships, plenty of laughs, and a whole lot of fly fishing.

From the factory floor to the water, our dealers got a firsthand look at the people and processes behind the brands they carry. We spent time building reels, repairing product, sharing stories, and putting a little friendly competition into the mix with casting and fly tying challenges. And somewhere between all of that, we found plenty of time to just hang out and enjoy being together.

That’s what makes Dealer Days special to us. It’s not just about showing off what’s new or walking through the factory. It’s about connecting the people who build product across the industry with the people who put them in anglers’ hands every day. The relationships, conversations, and friendships that come out of these few days are what make this industry so special.

To the dealers who traveled near and far, our partners who helped bring the event to life, and our entire team who put in the work behind the scenes, thank you.

3 days off-grid in the Colorado backcountry 🏔️🎣

Packed the bags and headed deep into the Rawah Wilderness for a few days of hiking, camping and fly fishing amongst some unreal alpine lakes and mountain scenery.

Safe to say Colorado has some pretty incredible places to explore, and this was easily one of the highlights of our trip through the States!

Definitely one of the highlights of our time exploring Colorado. Could’ve happily spent another few days out here. ⛺️

River Monsters of Colorado 🎣👇🏽

Hooked up to some River Monsters fly fishing, lucky enough for us they Just fit in the net (or not through the net)

Some beautiful brown and rainbow trout caught out in the Colorado mountains, fought hard and long but no match for my expertise

Fly fishing takes extreme skill, patience and determination. Battling the harsh, rugged mountains in Colorado, fighting these massive beasts to shore

Colorado has shown me the wild side, but there is plenty more river monsters to catch. Stick around for the extreme fly fishing to come
