People don’t just work for companies. They work for people.

When candidates are weighing opportunities, qualifications and compensation aren’t the only factors in the decision.

Who they’ll be working with, how leadership communicates, and whether they feel aligned with the people and culture all matter.

Our own Aisha Alves recently joined Angela Pih on Branding Like A Boss to discuss recruiting, company culture, personal branding, and why having a visible, authentic leadership presence can make a difference in attracting talent.

We’re launching From the Recruiter’s Desk, a new video series featuring insider insights to get you hired in cannabis. Real conversations with our recruiters who are placing candidates in this industry every day.

In this clip from Episode 1, Aisha Alves breaks down what separates candidates who land the job: going deeper than LinkedIn. Understanding the company’s mission, vision, and values before you walk in. Speaking their language in your answers so you already feel like part of the culture.

In cannabis, where alignment and purpose matter, doing your homework makes all the difference.
