This is Aaliyah Bryant of Black Lightning (going into 8th grade). She's one of the hardest, if not THE hardest, working youth I've ever come across. She runs both the 400m and 800m, but the 800m seems to be her race. If I'm not wrong, I think she's pretty proficient at the mile, but she rarely contests it. A couple of weeks ago, she gained All-American status with placing 3rd at the USATF Jr Olympics in the 800m with 2:17.83 (not far off of her pr of 2:17.36 set in the semi final. She A SUPER academian and KILLS it in the classroom. Fast on the track and in the classroom. I thoroughly enjoy watching her move around the track and putting in that work needed for the events she contests. She super cool and even more focused. Aaliyah will definitely be a force to be reckoned with as she moves forward in her track carrier. I'm happy to be a part of that village trying to help her improve. She's just getting started! LET'S GO, AALIYAH!! 💪🏾 💪🏾 💪🏾

Aaliyah Bryant takes a moment to reflect on what it means to be an All American and bronze medalist in the girls 13-14 800m race. 🥉

She shares how she’s hungry for more and that she will not give up until the job is done! Alaliyah we are so proud of you and how you fought through the battles this week! Time to write your comeback story. ⭐️👏🏻🖊️

It truly takes a village. ❤️ Thank you to our family, friends, coaches, teammates, and everyone who supported Alianna throughout this journey. A special thank you to our family who couldn't be there in person but still cheered her on from afar, called, texted, prayed, and celebrated every step with us. Your love and support mean more than you'll ever know. We are so grateful for each and every one of you. 🙏🏾🏃🏾‍♀️✨

This past week, I had the privilege to battle it out against some of the fastest girls in the nation for the 800m. I secured a PR of 2:17.75 and walked away with the All-American title to wrap up my final club season. I’m so grateful for my coaches, family, and teammates who pushed me to get here 🧡💙
