For those of you not in the know:
I directed a regional production of Bat Boy: the Musical, and earlier this week, we found out we are Helen Hayes recommended! The Helen Hayes Awards are a program put on by Theatre Washington that recognize the greater Washington area theaters and their respective productions. To be recommended essentially means the adjudication team liked our show enough and believes people should go see it!

So that’s you!! The show runs until October 25th, the perfect time for you to grab your friends and get ready for Spooky Season! It’s such a zany, campy, and wild ride and it is truly one of those shows that shouldn’t be missed!!

Bat Boy has officially taken flight!

We opened this past weekend to some incredible receptive audiences. Comfort and Joy was had by all.

I am still pinching myself that I get to do this show, and this role, with the most exceptional, talented, and supportive team. I feel so blessed and honored to be among them all.

Meredith has been such an incredible role to take on for so many reasons, and I only hope I have done and continue to do her justice.

Can’t wait to get back on stage with this wild bunch. Don’t miss your chance to see Bat Boy at @workhouseperformingarts! Glowing reviews are already coming in so don’t wait on getting those tickets! We run through October 25th. Ticket link in bio and below here.

Q2 Recap - April through June were pretty wonderful.

Sharing our news, Easter, first sonogram, reunions galore with friends, seeing shows, closing out “Little Women”, adopting Atlas, finding out baby is a boy, our first wedding of the season, Father’s Day, date nights, parades, and growing growing GROWING!

This season has been special and oh so busy, which is exactly how I like it!

I know I’m well over a week late in posting this tribute to my recent production of Sense & Sensibility with @fairfaxcitytheatre , but the feelings of pride in what we created will surely be with me for much much longer.

I joined this production with a pre-existing fondness for the story, as well as with @elizabethsuzanneofficial as a director and collaborator. Even with that, by the time we opened I was blown away by the level of depth, insight and freshness this production brought out of such a familiar story. I can’t thank the endlessly imaginative and talented cast and team of S&S for bringing this unique vision to life, and for allowing me to be a part of such a brilliantly conceived and deftly executed piece of theatre 💖💖💖

A select few highlights from Sense & Sensibility! I’m so proud to have been a part of a show so incredibly fun and creative, and to have met such an amazing group of friends💙 Please note that everyone involved was swole and willing to settle for mediocrity (but achieved something exceptional)

Sense and Sensibility closed yesterday to a sold-out audience and overwhelmingly positive reviews.

This show, these people, this story has been such a gift and my gratitude to everyone who has supported this process, from your creativity, to your labor, to your attendance, this show was MADE my the presence of extraordinary people.

To my creatives: I asked so much, and you responded with enthusiasm and incredible ideas and designs that carried the themes of this show in every way.

To my production team: you kept me sane, kept me grounded, kept my accountable, and sailed this ship with grace and collectivness, even when things were pushed to their *limits*.

To my cast: this show would be nothing without your individuality and heart. These roles, this story was made all the more exemplary by YOUR choices and YOUR portrayals. You were given an INSANE show to do as volunteers, and all said "Yes, and" so wholeheartedly.

To our audiences: thank you for sharing your laughs, your tears, your gasps, and your hearts with us.

And thank you Jane, for a story we're still enjoying.
