My heart has broken again. Just 4 days after losing EJ, we also lost Teddy so suddenly, only a week earlier we were playing around the neighbourhood, having so much fun together. Teddy had a rough life, but once he joined our family, he was so loyal to us, brought us so much joy and I saw how happy he was with all of us as well. My heart aches and I will miss this special boy. 🥺🐾💖

And while some who once rallied in your name and gathered under #JusticeForKopi have since found new causes to fundraise for, new politics to promote, and some others recycling old tactics and battles to keep themselves relevant, #executeAWA remains firm in your memory - choosing to fight constructively and earnestly for the reason your name mattered in the first place.

Because your name matters Kopi. For Malaysia, for me, it always will.

…………………………………….

Dear Kopi.
It has been a while since I last stood by the gates of @majlisdaerahbesut to demand accountability from those who proudly played God in gunning you down. [https://www.instagram.com/reels/DB85lz3ybxm/]

I’m so sorry. Everyday I’m sorry. I’ll always be sorry. 🥺

💔

But no.
We will not let emotions come in the way of needed unity and objectivity for fair governance.
And if there’s one thing I can hope most in the pain and tribalisitnc infighting of it all - is for your memory to continue reminding us WHY Execute AWA EXISTS TO BEGIN WITH!

Our job as Malaysia’s First National Humanity Movement for Greater Animal Welfare, is to keep asking the uncomfortable questions UPSTREAM!

Why did the system fail?

Where did governance fail?

Where did accountability stop?

Why are citizens still having to compensate for institutional gaps?
And what must fundamentally change so that the next Kopi does not depend on another exhausted group of humans to fight her fight?

THAT is where my energy belongs.
Professional, objective and problem-solving areas of thinking.
NOT where entitled measurements on whose sacrifices and experiences hurts more.

There is NO greater pain.
There is NO more deserving sacrifice.
There is NO prize for being the most exhausted person in the room.

E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E who sincerely serves the cause, MATTERS - in more ways than one!

E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E is tormented with great anguish and heartbreak - no matter their role or years of contribution.

And E-V-E-R-Y-O-N-E is legit, sakit, perit - inside, outside, left side, right side, front side, backside! 😓

Let’s choose equal kindness to our fellow humans as much as we render it to our furry kids.💕

EJ was our first ever cat. She came to us just over 10 years ago in a rain storm. When I went to open up our Borneo Tribal Squad Gym to get ready for classes, she was a little lost, crying kitten. We looked all over to reunite her with her mom, with no luck, so she joined us at first in the gym, sitting by the kick bags watching Muay Thai classes never scared of the noise and commotion, sleeping through jiu jitsu and enjoying the cuddles from students. When we took her home, she would jump up by the TV when we watched MMA to watch it as well. We named her EJ after us (Emily Jumat). She was a loner yet our young rescue kittens always seemed drawn to her. She's been with us through multiple moves and changes, watching our Pyro family grow. Today she left us and my heart is shattered. I loved her so much and this just aches to my very core. Thank you for choosing me and changing my world EJ, I will love you always and forever. 🐾🤍 EJ Pyro July 2016 - October 2026 .My love.

#FMTLifestyle Long before Jumat Lias Mansor’s truck comes to a stop, the animals already know he has arrived. At each feeding spot, stray dogs wag their tails while cats gather nearby to greet the man they have learnt to trust.

For Jumat, better known as AJ “Pyro” Lias Mansor, their welcome makes every feeding round worthwhile. “They remember and appreciate you. They cannot talk, but you can feel it,” he said.

With his muscular build, the 52-year-old looks every much the formidable mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter he once was. But beneath that tough exterior lies a gentle heart.

His sporting career has spanned several disciplines. A former Malaysian national rugby player and silat athlete, he is also a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt with experience in wrestling and Muay Thai.
