Self-scanned film on an Epson flatbed. The verdict? There are multiple verdicts.

- My scanner is leaving detail on the table; the film has more resolution than the scanner can provide. You can’t really tell on Instagram, but trust me that at 100% it doesn’t resolve as much as lab scans.

- Film has a ton of dynamic range that is discarded when scans are converted to JPEG.

- Film has a lot of headroom for overexposure. I already knew this, but scanning it myself showed me this even more. This whole roll was kinda underexposed tbh.

This has been an amazing week! Met and reconnected with some talented men and women. So grateful to AJ Riggins for allowing me to be apart of his film “Wes to Delphi”. Then being invited to share our experience @iph_clt with some of the other actors and participants in Wes to Delphi. Looking forward to seeing all of the great projects that will come from that panel! @maleekloyd @ajriggins #westodelphi

Some behind the scene moments on set of @ajriggins latest short film. Lots of planning goes into these productions, but there are always variables that need to be solved for on the day; from camera setups not going to plan, schedules rearranging, blocking for actors and cameras changing.

We’re screening and talking about the film on Sept. 1st at @iph_clt. Just put the link in my bio if you want to come check it out!

We're beyond excited to share that Who's Ya People has been selected to screen at the International Black Theatre Festival Film Fest! ✨️

This selection is especially meaningful because it brings us back to Winston-Salem, the city where I attended film school and where my journey as a filmmaker truly began. To return years later with a festical-selected project feels both humbling and surreal.

What makes this moment even more special is that we'll have multiple screenings throughout the festival, giving audiences several opportunities to experience Who's Ya People as part of this incredible celebration of Black artistry and storytelling.

And the best part? The screenings are free and open to the public.🎉 If you're attending the festival, we'd love for you to stop by, watch the series, and celebrate this moment with us.

Thank you to everyone who continuously supports Who's Ya People!

Complete Film Festival schedule is in our bio.

Winston-Salem, we're coming home. 🖤🎭✨️
