What a gift it was to play Harper from ‘Angels In America’ by Tony Kushner. Two words that sum up the last 4 days out at @16thstreetactorsstudio doing In Scene Advance with Harry Haynes would be collaborative and inspiring #acting #midlifecareerchange #actor

Nearly a year after we opened Boys on the Verge of Tears at @fortyfivedownstairs, it was such an honour to learn that we have received 5 @greenroomawards nominations.

A lot of blood, sweat, money, time, energy, tears, testosterone, estrogen, paint, filth and grime went into this enormous show. People came from far and wide to help and we’re just so thankful.

- Outstanding Production
- Outstanding Director

Thrilled to be included in @theageaustralia’s article about how independent theatre was delivering more impressive productions than the main-stages this year!
Boys on the Verge of Tears was a LOT of work and we thank everyone that went down the stairs at @fortyfivedownstairs into the boys toilets with us and made it worth it.

It is filled with grief but it’s also filled with love and music and beauty.

And how spoilt am I that I was able to share a part in the creation of this incredible show. To my all-time favourite bunch of people, thank you for helping to create this masterpiece and thank you for always making me laugh 💕🥟⭐️

“I want to feel kindness again.”

Sometimes a show lands in your lap right when you need it. ‘Kindness’ was the most beautiful gift in the universe and a daily reminder of everything I didn’t realise I’d forgotten: the importance of telling those you care about how much they mean to you even when its painful, of being kind to yourself even when you think you don’t deserve it, of being there for the people you love and who love you even when it feels impossible. Of showing up even when you fall short and holding on tight to the friends who help clean up all that confetti when the party’s over, even when you throw it in their face afterwards.

I don’t think I’ve ever been tested by a show quite this much, but I’ve never been embraced by one this much either. I still have a lot to learn, but I’ve learned enough to know that experiences like this are rare. I truly had the time of my life.

Thank you to the most incredible cast and creative team imaginable, to Sam Strong for his invaluable mentorship, and to the unfathomably kind Matt Whittet for trusting us with the beautiful world he created. I hope I did you all proud.

Saying goodbye to a show will never get easy, but I’m forever grateful this one - and these beautiful people - came into my life when they did. I’ll be holding on to them for a very long time.
