Do you love food? Three cultures, one dish, a little culinary experiment, a Trans-Atlantic Tagine…some will hate me for it, others will be inspired, either way it was a great experience…

🇰🇭-A Gaze into the Past-🇰🇭

12 centuries later these marvels from the largest religious complex on Earth still remain.

Photo 1 - No two devatas are exactly alike. Many scholars and researchers theorize that Angkor Wat may have been built to honor and glorify feminine principles rather than just serving as a traditional tomb or standard religious temple.

Photo 2 - Vishnu and the Churning of the Ocean of Milk, illustrating Samudra Manthana, the Hindu creation story.

1st photo, Hanuman is frequently depicted in Khmer temple art because the Rāmāyaṇa (called the Reamker in Cambodia) became deeply woven into Khmer culture.

2nd photo, the Devatās are divine female guardians found throughout the temples. Of the over 1500 unique female carvings found in Angkor Wat, no two are exactly alike.

Have you seen the Uncanny Rat-Man? Every city has its landmarks. San Francisco is full of characters, every day is like a scene out of Gotham City. Enough time walking these streets, and you’ll realize the city is a living collection of personalities rarer than the most exclusive Pokémon, full of artists, hustlers, visionaries, and people fighting invisible battles. A part of the strange reality that makes San Francisco one of the most fascinating and complicated cities in America, Rat-Man is one of many. Mental health awareness is very important, an issue that is commonly overlooked in our society.

A view over Anchor Point, where surfers, fishermen, and wanderers have been chasing the horizon for generations. Between the desert and the Atlantic, life moves at its own pace. Some places ask you to slow down. Taghazout doesn’t ask twice.

When traveling do you talk to the locals? Do you eat at the local ma’ n pops’ spots? Or are you one of those less adventurous types? There’s tourist & then there’s travelers, which one are you?
Fun fact: I’ve never stayed at a resort while abroad and that’s by choice.

Last year around this time I was living in the Moroccan capital city of Rabat, in the Kasbah Oudaya, a lot of good memories, my apologies to that one chic who waited 2 hours in the Kasbah for me, it was cool cause the old Medina was right across the street and the tourism is far less extreme here than other coastal cities. I’ll probably live there again someday…it was cool cause I even had a live in maid/chef/personal assistant named S**** at the time, the simple things…
