🎉 One year ago today, Erik and Lyle Menendez were officially resentenced after more than three decades serving life without parole.

On May 13, 2025, Judge Michael V. Jesic resentenced the brothers to 50 years to life, making them immediately eligible for parole under California’s youthful offender laws.

This outcome did not happen overnight. It came after years of relentless work by their legal team, including Cliff Gardner, Mark Geragos, Alexandra Kazarian, Bryan Freedman, Michael Romano, and Milena Blake, who fought through countless filings, hearings, opposition, and delays to bring the case back before the court.

It also came through the unwavering support of the Menendez and Andersen family, who stood beside Erik and Lyle every step of the way and continued advocating publicly for their release and recognition of the abuse they endured and their rehabilitation.

And to the supporters around the world who never stopped speaking out, researching, organizing, sharing information, and keeping this case alive through the years: your voices mattered. Advocacy helped bring renewed public attention to a case many believed had been forgotten.

As the case continues moving forward, it is currently expected that the California parole process will advance further this summer, with decisions anticipated around July or August regarding the scheduling of the brothers’ next parole hearings.

One year later, this day remains a reminder that change inside the justice system is possible, even after decades. 🩵

The fight for justice continues! 💪
