What an art filled year 2025 was! Art took me on some of the best adventures yet, and brought me some amazing people along the way too!

A new studio space, my first art retreat, the amazing women I was with on the retreat, a new collection of work, meeting artists I look up to, a people’s choice award, a calendar feature, and the support of so many of you and those in my circle! Thank you for giving me the continued opportunity to share where art takes me with you all!

Cheers to a peaceful New Year full of new colorful and creative endeavors 🥂🎨🫟🌈

Watercolor in the Garden is an annual fundraiser to support @gardensforcharlestown, a space in our community that holds such a special place in my heart. We moved the location from the garden patio to the studio due to the forecast but Amy and Erin brought garden vibes to the studio. Thanks to all the beautiful folks who came out last night. We had a lovely time painting loose and fun florals. Looking forward to next year… in the garden. 💕🌸🌈

Bloom: A beautiful process of becoming.

The seed was planted while in sober living. I needed a “get well” job and got hired in the Floral Department in a local grocery store. Prior to this, I had no experience or knowledge of flowers. Flowers helped me connect to God and I found a way of meditation working with flowers. I worked my way up the ladder, learning so much about floral techniques and arranging, and became a manager.

Unbeknownst to me that a pandemic would happen, I had quit my Floral Manager position hoping to start my own flower company. I made arrangements inside my sober house and people continued to order. The business bloomed as I moved back to Charlestown. It grew as we did custom holiday orders, special events, funerals, and weddings.

The foundation of my business has always been community. I’m so grateful that I had this opportunity to grow as a florist and build a community surrounded by flowers. I’m grateful that I had an opportunity to give back every chance I got and partner with local non profits and the recovery community. I’m grateful that I had such loyal customers that trusted me to create beautiful arrangements for life’s precious moments. I’m grateful that I was able to hire local Charlestown neighbors and local teens and teach them about the floral industry. I’m grateful for every trial and every triumph as well as every lesson and blessing. I’m grateful that I had a chance to make Charlestown bloom.

Although I am sad to end this business, my heart is full of gratitude for each moment during this journey. Who knows where @theroadtobloom will take me, but I’m excited for this next chapter.
