Introducing V.I.D.A. 🌱
A structured 16-week program for non-violent, at-risk youth between the ages of 11 and 17. Through collaboration between the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, community-based organizations, volunteers, schools and families, the program teaches youth the value of effective decision-making and taking responsibility for their futures.
Thanks to @alainlagger it is my pleasure to support Sheriff Deputy Robin Soukup and others in their important work serving the youth at a critical juncture of their lives. The Future Self Method is helping them to see a brighter future for themselves, a vision they can believe in, feel inspired by and develop hope. The use of technology, powered by binaural beats, wireless headsets and @mindtravelmusic by @murrayhidary is demonstrating again and again it’s effectiveness regardless of circumstances and audiences.
.
Listen to the heartwarming story by one of the mothers who are part of the program. The random irony of the mural behind us with scenes of Europe and the Berlin Brandenburger Gate is an unexpected element.
