Pan de muerto belongs to Día de los Muertos — round for the cycle of life, bones laid across the top, a skull at the center. It goes on the ofrenda beside marigolds and photographs, then gets eaten by the living while the dead are home visiting.

Chef @alansanz_c cut his in half and filled it with elote ice cream. Corn husk ash sugar and poppy seeds dusted over the top.

Available starting today at Mírate and Daisy for the season. Then gone until next year.

We’ve refreshed our Pan Dulce basket. You’re welcome.

Dulce de leche sticky bun with pecans and cranberries. Passion fruit and coconut with roasted corn white chocolate. Guava and lavender compote against chihuahua cheese. A rebanada de mantequilla that is whipped butter and sugar and absolutely nothing else. And a bear claw that went a more savory route — caramelized onion, cream cheese, puff pastry.

Available at Brunch Saturday & Sunday, 11am–3pm. Pastry, then margarita. We’re not your doctor.
