🦩 Day 40! @cristina_guarda raises big concerns in Strasbourg: no permits for construction on protected areas. No regression should be made in Albania’s road to 🇪🇺. Strong declarations on the repeal of law 21/2024 🗣️.

‼️ Citiziens no pleased with the €4.2 million public funding towards Kanye West’s concert in Tirana. The artists community demands better support & transparency on public funding allocations in arts & culture in 🇦🇱.

This edition of Ekrani i Artit brought back an important platform that gives space to emerging and more established Albanian artists through portfolio review sessions.

Throughout the days of the festival, the nominated artists from the Albanian Visual Art Network members a part of which is also Art House - Redina Qose, Anja Stroka, Erald Nezaj, Ilir Kaso, Samela Balazi, Endi Shani and Renid Tosuni - came to Shkodra to present their works to renowned national and international curators such as Adela Demetja, Vesa Sahatçiu, João Laia, Julia Marchand and Matthew Noble.

We would like to thank all the artists and curators for their dedication and also Qendra Rinore Arka for being great hosts!

The nightingale is shaped from crushed laurel leaves — ground into dust by the artist’s @antonakakisofia hands — and woven together with chia and flax seeds, carrying within it the memory of earth, ritual, and renewal...

A little nightingale crafted from its own natural materials.

The very things it uses to build its nest—twigs, earth, and leaves.

Confined within a noisy city, surrounded by apartment blocks,

it seeks to converse with the people and the birds of the neighborhood.
