Danielle Smith announced five anti-immigrant referendum questions in February. The separation question came three months later.

This is a deliberate campaign of racism, division and distraction.

Alberta recruited migrants to fill jobs. Now those same migrants are being blamed for the housing crisis, overcrowded hospitals and underfunded schools.

Migrants did not create these crises. Government choices did.

The referendum is not binding. We cannot allow Alberta or any other province or the federal government to attack migrant rights further.
