Thanks Chicago for helping me with my issue yesterday. A supervisor called me back, reviewed the call and kicked it up to a watch commander! Just to add a little icing on the cake the community officers who I was working with came to check in on me today. The city is not broken it’s a few broken people that work for the city. Thanks @dncr4lf_ @aldermandavidmoore @alderyancy5 @911supervisorsmith various clergy, shamans, and community members that DM’d me their support. All is right with the 🌎!

We met with Executive Director LaVonte Stewart and COO Jo McAllister to highlight how the @mychimyfuture Chicago Youth Opportunity Collaborative (CYOC) program empowers young Chicagoans in the 5th Ward with critical enrichment, mentorship, and employment opportunities.

I join 28 of my colleagues in urging Mayor Johnson to begin with three commitments for next year's budget: no property tax increase, no head tax or other tax on job growth, and no counting on state funding that has not been approved.

We’re always grateful for the opportunity to show the residents of Woodlawn how much we—and God—love them! Ministry is always bigger than the four walls of the church.

Shoutout to our LTM men for doing this critical outreach today! Loving God and loving people is who we are! 🙌❤️

Today, @chicagotribune published an op-ed by me and three of my colleagues on the immediate actions we must take to prevent further traffic fatalities on our roads. Read it at the link in bio.

We also sent these items to Mayor Johnson last week (read our letter above), with even more of our colleagues signing on in support. As elected officials, the safety of our residents is our responsibility and we are committed to working collaboratively to make Vision Zero a reality.
