“I ended up with a stack; a pile of tickets, including the one they were talking about on the news,” he said. “I stood there for a minute thinking, ‘Do I see what I think I see?’ I had to stick my head out of the window and breathe in some fresh air. I was in serious doubt. I really had to convince myself this was real.”

In The Hopper centers around a slide projection of 50 macro photographs taken between 2014 and 2022. A static projection of a foundational 2012 photo is cast on the opposing side of the same wall. Upstairs, a stage (i.e.) persists as an unassuming relic. Unsure of its utility after the production has ended, after the slide has advanced, it glimmers as a feebly constructed vessel of forgotten (?) potential.

Yair Oelbaum, in the hopper @alea.program

March–June recap with momentations, notes, outtakes - and the opening lines of a new exciting chapter with @stuartshavemodernart - channeling my inner Seth Siegelaub/Colin de Land/Pat Hearn – still learning from singular voices I deeply admire. So somewhere between overhead elevator lighting and the soft grief of desinstalling a show, a tomato lost control of its emotions. A dog watched the city dramas from a balcony, and then came the final footnote, quietly appended to the upcoming text ‘Mouche molle, chose floue, bruit pour rien’. Zizi Jeanmaire tap-danced across a memory, while John Waters reminded us (again): ‘when in doubt, just go over the top’. José Leonilson reappearing in Paris nearly 40 years later thanks to @georgia_r_w . #MalakElZanatyVarichon ’s writing was bathed in the light of communal tales, as #AntoinetteLubaki following a tradition that allowed legends to be told only after sunset. A bridge in London shimmered under sun, and Linder’s ghosts strutted through it, barely dressed, fully armed. On the other side, @donnagottschalk friends embraced warmly, Gabrielle Münter’s childhood colors, Christopher Culver’s quiet magnetism, a desk, some plants and half-sentence from @clemenceltdp at @alea.program — “but it’s hypra intense so let’s drop it.”
