Wow where do I even start….. this group of friends… man I tell ya. To be back in this beautiful city with some of the most amazing people I know to celebrate our good sis @egalli was truly something special. Moe, Emma and I all lived together in NYC right after college. It was tough, it was hard but it was also the start of us figuring out this big city life together. More friends moved to the city and we all eventually got our footing and found proper housing 😅 Regardless of the struggle, it never really felt like a struggle because we had each other. Club promoter dinners, nights at Up and Down (finished with a slice from Artichoke!) and long train rides to far rockaways in the summer. Now that many of us no longer live here, to come back to celebrate our girl getting married in the city just brings it all full circle. My girl found the LOHL here and our friendships continue to reach new heights when we get together. I’m so grateful for this crazy group of my friends!! Until next time NYC🥰🫶🏾🥂🍾 🗽

Behind every restored forest is a team of people working on the ground. From planting native trees to monitoring wildlife, conservation is a long-term effort sustained by people who return day after day, to do the work. In the Lower Kinabatangan floodplain, Hutan protects remaining natural forest and restores degraded areas to reconnect fragmented wildlife habitat. Our Reforestation Team raises, plants, maintains and monitors native trees, while our Wildlife Survey & Protection Team monitors how wildlife uses these areas, helping us understand how species respond as the forests recover. We are grateful to all the funding partners whose support makes Hutan’s reforestation and wildlife monitoring work possible. We also thank Marina Bay Sands for supporting members of our Reforestation Team and for commissioning this film.
