Heartfelt post feat. backstage Nationals pictures that I forgot to post in June🙃

As prayers are being said and students and teachers alike heading back to school I hope you remember to say an extra one for your children’s instructors and coaches. 🫶🏼

Whether your child plays a sport (I am including dance in this☺️), takes musical lessons, or is apart of the many activities one can be apart of, say a prayer for those who are there day in and day out with your children.

I can speak well as a dance teacher; we are so much more than just an instructor and that is something that I don’t take lightly. We are confidence builders, role models, an extra listener, one of their biggest cheerleaders, advice givers, and everything in between!

I wouldn’t trade this time that I have as apart of these kids lives for anything and I can’t wait for this year ahead! Praying and sending so many warm thoughts to my fellow teachers, coaches, and instructors! May you have a wonderful year full of deep conversations, meaningful relationships, and always remember what a blessing it is to be in children’s lives who will be world changers!

dear dance,
thank you for showing me that i didn’t step out on the stage to win some big trophy or title, but to go out there and pour my heart out through movement when i couldn’t express myself in words. spending countless hours in the studio didn’t only form me as a dancer, but as a person, which led to the way I met my best friends, my family, the people who have been there from start to finish and never left my side on the bad days. So thank you dance for giving me courage to not only try new things but to let go of the ones who aren’t worth holding on to. Every single memory, every single class, every single step has made me who i am today and I will forever cherish everything you have taught me so thank you for believing in me when i didn’t believe in myself. dance taught me countless life lessons which i will apply throughout my life as I say goodbye to this studio. Thank you for being my safe place when the world was crashing in on me. So really, thank you dance for saving my life❤️
