Almost a year since we filmed the Inevitable music video. Can’t believe it’s so long ago. Can’t believe that it’s so recent. Life’s weird.

Inevitable was supposed to be the first single of my debut album. An album that was just about finished a year ago, and a year later it’s still not released. And this particular album will “possibly maybe” never be.

I’ve spent so much time and money on this project, which makes it even harder to let go of. But somehow I can’t release something that doesn’t feel true to me anymore, just because I’ve already put so much into it.

The last year has changed and developed a lot of things for me, for different reasons. Which naturally reflects my art. I’ve tried to make something from my past resonate with me in the present. But I’ve given up, and decided to move away from it.

I’m working on new projects, and maybe Inevitable will get a new body, involving a more present aesthetic and sound of mine. Leaning more electronic and experimental. Something about Inevitable still carries into this new era and aesthetic, it is true in a more timeless way for me. I’m so excited to give it a new body and see where it takes me.

How do we move together while remaining separate?

Bodies drift, converge, and separate across the landscape as the river itself becomes both stage and structure — holding memory, longing, and transformation 🏞️
