I think fruit bats are one of those animals that people often overlook, until you actually stop and watch them.

They’re weird, adorable, surprisingly huge, and play a much bigger role in their ecosystems than most people realize. From pollinating flowers to spreading seeds across forests, these little flying mammals are basically doing nighttime maintenance for the rainforest.
Pretty cool if you ask me.

Did any of these facts surprise you?

Seoul is one of those cities that is filled with quiet palace courtyards and chaotic streets. Tiny cafés hidden between skyscrapers. Neon signs, and traditional architecture.

These are some of the moments that made me stop and take a photo. And if you couldn’t tell, I really fell in love with the temples and traditional hanok architecture. There’s something about seeing these historic buildings surrounded by the modern city that makes Seoul feel so special.

Is Seoul on your bucket list yet?

Iceland isn’t just glaciers, waterfalls, and volcanoes.

Swap left to see what animals you might encounter during your visit to the country.

#IcelandWildlife #WildlifePhotography #IcelandPhotography #ArcticFox #Puffin

The Arctic fox is Iceland’s only native mammal, which makes it a particularly special part of Iceland’s wildlife.
They arrived in Iceland naturally during the last Ice Age, when sea ice connected Iceland with mainland Europe.

Iceland is home to one of the world’s largest Atlantic puffin populations, and the birds are one of the country’s most iconic summer wildlife sightings. Atlantic puffins spend most of their lives out at sea and come onto land mainly during the breeding season, roughly May to August.

They nest in burrows in grassy cliffs and islands, often returning to the same breeding areas year after year. One of the most interesting things about them is that both parents help raise a single chick, called a puffling.

The Icelandic sheep is a very old breed, descended from sheep brought to Iceland by settlers around the 9th–10th centuries. Because Iceland was isolated for so long, the breed developed with relatively little outside genetic influence.

Humpback whales are regular seasonal visitors to Icelandic waters. They are generally found around Iceland from during the warmer months, when they come to feed.
They are enormous animals, reaching around 11–19 metres and weighing approximately 20–40 tonnes. Their enormous flukes have individual patterns, almost like fingerprints, which allows researchers to identify and follow individual whales.

The harbour seal is the most common seal species found around Iceland. Females generally give birth to one pup in June. The pup is nursed for roughly 3–4 weeks before becoming independent. Unfortunately the species has experienced a dramatic decline in their population in Iceland.

The Eurasian oystercatcher is one of Iceland’s most recognizable shorebirds. Particularly famous for eating mussels, cockles and other shellfish, but they also eat worms and insects.

And last but not least the Icelandic horse is one of Iceland’s most iconic animals.

Iceland’s Highlands are the dream for 4x4 adventures, and this waterfall crossing is along one of Iceland’s designated F-roads.

A reminder for anyone visiting: driving off road is illegal in Iceland. The Highlands are incredibly fragile, and Iceland’s vegetation can take decades, or even longer to recover from damage.

Always stick to designated roads and trails, follow signs and closures, and never attempt a river crossing if you’re unsure about the conditions.

What inspires you to travel?

For me, the answer goes much deeper than simply wanting to see beautiful places.

Growing up, traveling was a luxury my family couldn’t afford it. I never realized what I was missing until my first high school trip abroad to England.

That trip changed everything, meeting new people, experiencing a different culture, and seeing landscapes so unlike those back home in Hungary opened my eyes. It amazed me that a place only a few hours away could feel like a completely different world.

Since that trip I became obsessed with Geography. I spent hours highlighting all the beautiful places I wanted to visit one day. I had no idea how I’d make it happen I just knew I wanted to see, and experience as much of the world as I could.

4 years ago, I bought a one way ticket to the States with nothing but an “I’ll figure it out” mindset.

Since then, I’ve been fortunate enough to travel full-time, photographing places I once only dreamed about. And the more I travel, the longer my bucket list becomes. There are still so many incredible places left to explore, and I’m excited to share them with you through my camera.

So now I’m curious…

What’s your #1 destination on your bucket list you’d like to visit?

Here are a few places I’d recommend to anyone:

• Iceland, Highlands
• Hawaii, Big Island
• French Polynesia, Moorea
• New Zealand, Queenstown
• Fiji, Main Island
• Iceland, Hornstrandir Nature Reserve
• New Zealand, Wharariki Beach
• New York city
• Chile, Easter Island

Have you ever seen a tractor going into the ocean?
Yep, me either until we visited Castle Point and let me tell you my jaw dropped. Watching them pick up jet boats was so cool. To witness it yourself add 📍Castle Point to your bucket list!
