D I S S E C T I O N O F A M U R D E R👩🏼‍⚖️
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5
Genre: Legal Thriller

I went into this book completely blind. I knew it was being talked about all over social media and that the reviews were amazing, so I knew I was missing out! Luckily, @bookaddict_kim13 arranged a buddy read, and I knew I had to get involved.

From the very first chapter, I was hooked. I devoured every chapter and was so relieved to have read this alongside 23 other people. The group chat was active throughout, with everyone sharing their theories, opinions and suspicions — which made the whole reading experience even more enjoyable📚💭

And for the first time EVER… I guessed the plot twist! 👀

If you’re looking for a book that keeps you guessing and has you questioning everything, this is the one.

@jomurraywrites one word to describe this book - masterpiece.
It’s the first book I’ve read by her, but it definitely won’t be my last!

If you’re looking for a gripping legal thriller, Dissection of a Murder is the one. I was completely invested in the trial, and I know this is a book I will still think about.

But before you leave, I have one question for you…
Guilty or not guilty? 👀💭

📚 REVIEW 📚

It Should Have Been You by Andrea Mara @andreamaraauthor

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

ABOUT...

Susan sends her sister a gossipy message about their neighbour. But she accidentally posts it on the neighbourhood WhatsApp group instead.

It’s an innocent mistake that could happen to anyone, but rumours quickly spread and the backlash spirals. Soon that one wrong message leads to murder.

A local woman is found dead, but when Susan listens to the news report, she realises that the victim had the same address as her but in a different part of town. The killer may have got the wrong victim - they may be coming for her next.

MY THOUGHTS...

I read this book as part of the buddy read hosted by and with Hannah @hannahreads.26 and a few other booksta buddies.

This is my 2nd book of Andrea's that I've read and again I wasn't disappointed 😊 I enjoyed reading it from start to finish, I was hooked literally from the prologue at the start of the book.
The book was fast paced with its short chapters. Also chapters that ended in cliff hangers, wanting to know what was going to happen next or to do with a character. It kept me guessing throughout the book.
I found the book intense and also made me feel anxious with certain parts of the book. Everything that was happening, happened one after the other, until a great ending with a bit mystery at the end (if you read it on kindle, not featured at the end of the hardback or the paperback). Leaves you thinking about a certain part in the book that didn't get revealed, but it did leave clues though. Besides all the drama, there were secrets kept spilling out too.
I just couldn't believe what all happened, was over a message that was put on the neighbourhood whatsapp group chat by accident.
What a roller coaster of a book! I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good thriller read or needs to get out of a reading slump. I can't wait to read another one of Andrea's books 🤗📚

Anyone read it?
