Riding to work has been unbeatable recently.

Dry roads, clear skies and good legs.

Just have to resist the temptation to eat my lunch before 1030 and life is good!

✨The Gravel Rally Night Stage ✨

As the darkness fell, so did the rain! A sea of lights lit up the drizzle, belonging to the riders on the start line who were moments away from this fast and furious pursuit deep in the Gwydir Forest.

These are some of my favourites from this stage of the Gravel Rally.

The Gravel Rally // Pure Vibes 🚵‍♂️🔥🏆

This event is always a must-do on the race calendar. There’s just something special about it. Maybe it’s the stunning landscapes and ever-changing conditions, the incredible organisers, or the mix of riders — from those battling at the front to those simply soaking up every mile of terrain and adventure. Honestly, it’s the whole package, and that’s why I love coming back every year.

Don’t get me wrong… it’s a seriously tough day in the saddle 😅 But the format is unreal: elbows-out racing through the timed sectors, then rolling between stages with your mates, taking in the views before the next all-out effort.

If you’ve never done this event, make it one for next year 👊

I raced the World Class Short Route:
🌙 Timed night stage — 11 miles / 1500ft climbing through Gwydir Forest
⛰️ Main stage — 58 miles / 7200ft climbing through Eryri National Park

Buzzing to take the win 🥇 with just over a 20-minute lead to second place.

Shout of to @albion.cycling for the Big Cheque and @wildhorsebeer for the 🍻

Huge thanks to the @thegravelrally , marshals, volunteers, and everyone involved in making the event what it is 🙌

Amazing photos from @arielwojciechowski_com 👊🏽

Video footage on board at @thegravelrally. Stupidly let it running and drained the battery so didn’t get much of the race.
Must try better next time with my admin.

Podium spots for the gents!

It’s always good watching athletes you’ve followed for years hit their stride again and that’s exactly what happened at the latest Intotri S6/10 race.

First up, @alex_13oz . Returning to time trial racing for the first time since 2024, he didn’t ease his way back in, he went straight to the top step. Alex took the win in the S6/10 road bike category with a sharp 23:10. First TT back and already back on top. Epic ride and a serious statement.

Then there’s @huwyrwyddfa , who mixed things up by ditching his usual bike choice and jumping onto a TT bike. New setup, new position, and still getting comfortable, but that didn’t stop him. Despite a couple of hold-ups on course and a tricky turn, Huw powered through to finish 3rd overall in 21:56. Not bad while still dialing in that aero position.

We’ve been watching these two for years, and the friendly rivalry keeps getting better.

Both are back, both are progressing, and it’s shaping up to be a seriously exciting season ahead. Well done chaps!

Never got round to a 2025 @borderland500 recap post. Anyway here’s a little set from the first couple of days

No swanky spatial 3D, no Ai, no gimmicks. Just good old fashioned screen grabs from a hard fought race through the world’s best place to have a camera in your hands. Pan Celtic 2024 was an incredible race from the start. Fought over 2500 miles of grippy, unrelenting Celtic roads, it was my absolute pleasure to follow the stories unfolding at the front of the race as riders kicked seven shades of shit out of each other for 10 days in a row. The scenery through the Lake District and the West Coast of Scotland was just 🤯 and we were blessed with some incredible efforts from riders truly turning themselves inside out. It’s hard to boil a 50minute film down to just 20 single frames. But hopefully this gives you a little flavour, go have a watch of the full film on YouTube - ‘Pan Celtic Race 2024’ 🍿

A last minute assignment to photograph the ride and later, the release of the new Pan Celtic Magnum Opus Ultra Race Film (expertly crafted by @frictioncollective ) for the Pan Celtic Autumnal Gathering.

It was an excellent day: full of laughter, shared miles along some of Eryri’s finest and sky-high vibes made so by the unmistakable energy this particular cycling clan always brings 🙌🏻!

Make sure you keep your eyes peeled - the Pan Celtic crew have been cooking up something very exciting up for next year 🌝!
