I didn't even know if I was confirmed for this show yet 🫠

This was my callback, so I was close, but close isn't confirmed. And I really, really wanted this one. The designer was awesome, the clothes were awesome, the other models were awesome (I don't know how else to say it lmao). So when the mix-up left me with a few extra hours, I didn't rush out. Part of that was genuinely loving being there, and part of it was the anxiety talking: if I was going to get invited back, I wanted these people to actually know me.

The day also gave me a side quest. I got invited to my first ever after-party through Instagram, and it was literally upstairs in the same building (the commute of my dreams). So at 7 I went up, felt a little bougie and a little fancy, and invited my best friend, which was really special because it was also her birthday 🥂 Getting to celebrate her in the middle of all that nervous energy was exactly the break I needed. Then I went right back downstairs and kept talking to people until almost 10.

I left not knowing if I was confirmed for the show, and that night, I had the most vivid dream (nightmare); the kind where you wake up sweating and the despair feels completely real. I think I wanted it so badly it seeped into my subconscious.

I don't think the lesson is "let anxiety run your day," but sometimes it pushes you to show up more fully than you would have otherwise, and that's gotta be worth something.

Backstage at a museum, surrounded by faces I’ve shared countless call times with, it finally hit me.

When I started, I thought this career would be exciting because of the shows, the travel, & the big names on the call sheet. Years later, what keeps me here is the great minds I’ve met along the way.

The girls who’ve sat next to me in hair and makeup at 6 a.m. The friends who turned a solo birthday into a surprise. The artists who, despite the chaos, show up simply for the love of the game.

For me, building a career in this industry has never been just about my look or my book. It’s about the people I’m blessed enough to share a story with.

My whole life was built off a dream, and I have the vision board to prove it! 😭🤍

From 8 to 17, I daydreamed endlessly about what my life could look like as a model. Between school and part time jobs, it always felt so far away. Still, those daydreams carried me day after day. They kept me determined to see it through, regardless of the outcome.

I'll never get over how my distant dreams became my casual reality.

To anyone who feels drawn to a career that seems out of reach, don't lose faith. Your dream is well on its way.
