Just remembering how fun @animenyc was! I got to compete at the journeyman level for the first time and I won best Intermediate! I also did it in a boot since I was like a month out from foot surgery. I need to do a shoot with both of the painted shoes sometime soon.

Thank you to @scphotos8 for the pics!!

Also, thank you to @cornettocosplay and @alexiscrafting for running such a smooth and fun contest. And thank you to the judges @starsplat @himbohusbando @synaptic.seams y'all were so great to work with.

Ever wondered how knitting and crochet can become part of your next cosplay? From character accessories and props to hats, sidekicks, armor details, and even entire costumes, yarn can be an unexpectedly versatile cosplay material.

Join Alex Is Crafting, Scarlet Stitch Studios, and members of the New York City Crochet Guild for a hands-on introduction to creating cosplay with yarn. Attendees will learn how to begin crocheting, see examples of incorporating fiber arts into costumes, and discover how simple stitches can grow into character-inspired wearable pieces and props.

Finally back from a whirlwind 4 weeks of running Anime NYC > going to Dragon Con > running Rose City and recovering from con crud. @alexiscrafting and I had way too much fun in the judging room before y’all got there. When the room is bigger than your apartment 5 times over, the endless running meme is in order. We actively are running towards each other the entire time!! #rosecitycomiccon #cosplaycontest

Point-and-shoot film pics from Saturday of @animenyc! I had a blast taking silly pics of folks throughout the con this year, and these photos definitely have a fun nostalgic vibe! If you recognize anybody that’s not tagged, please tag ‘em down below so I can make sure they get the recognition they deserve!

I had a good time at @animenyc yesterday! I mostly go on Saturdays but this year, I decided to go on Friday instead. I only attended one panel where I won a prize in a trivia contest.

I was supposed to go as Spider-Man for the first half of the day but the convention center was too warm. So, I was Usopp instead.

I'm posting more from yesterday. I hope everyone have a great time at the con today and tomorrow!
