Over the years, I’ve become increasingly convinced that people don’t only want to know that something good happened. They want to understand what we are trying to change, whether it is actually working, what we are learning and whether there is a bigger possibility worth putting their weight behind.

That is part of why we open up our world every year.

This is the Colours Open House.

From 9–15 November, we are opening up the work of Colours Foundation across a number of sessions. We’ll share updates from the ground, go deeper into work like Home Sweep Home, our migrant communities, and BrainBuddy, and talk honestly about what has worked, what has been difficult, and what we are still trying to figure out.

I have never wanted Colours to become an organisation that simply gets good at telling sad stories so people will give. The individual matters deeply, but we must also actively and intentionally build things that change the conditions around people, so the same problems do not keep repeating themselves.

This is also our annual fundraiser, and we are hoping to find people who want to help us build the next stage of the work with greater depth, better systems and much greater reach.

If you have supported us before, volunteered with us, followed from a distance, or simply wondered what Colours actually does, I would really love for you to come.

From 9–15 November 2026, we’re opening our doors for a week of curated gatherings, meals and experiences with our local and overseas teams.

If you’ve only watched from a distance, this is your invitation to come closer.

If you’ve journeyed with us before, you are going to be encouraged, again.

We've been looking for YOU 🫵🏼

Every month, we bring volunteers overseas to JB, Batam and Manila to serve communities in need. Every week, we run programmes locally in Singapore for foreign workers and vulnerable families.

We are looking for volunteers all year round starting from JUNE onwards (June more urgent :))

No experience or special skills required. Just a willingness to show up ❤️

🫵Family & Friends 🫵

For the first time, our annual fundraiser will take place in our office.

This is our engine room, where ideas are sparked, strategies are drawn, and impossible dreams are quietly turned into possible ones.

In small intimate gatherings of just 30 to 40 guests, over 10 days in September & October, you’ll see the blueprints for 2026, experience our Brainbuddy programme firsthand, and step into the spaces where change begins.

And we need you there.

We have not relied on a major donor or big grant.
Every family helped, every child given an education, every dream we dared has happened because ordinary people showed up and stood with us.

People like you.

In the past year alone, together we have:

• Educated hundreds of village children in Batam
• Served hundreds of families through our Colours Hope Family Centre in the Philippines
• Run mentorship programmes for youths
• Transformed homes for low-income families in Singapore
• Offered up-skilling courses for migrant workers
• Supported refugee children’s education in Malaysia
• Launch our edutech programme in the region helping children receive education
• Mobilized hundreds of volunteer opportunities

Now, as we gear up for 2026, we are not just continuing the work but also building models that will multiply this impact. But they can only be built with you in the room.
