@alexthekidfrank flat-six beast is built to slide! Taking Subaru’s iconic platform to the absolute limit, this Cusco-liveried RWD drift Subaru Legacy Wagon is packing a serious punch with a full EG33 engine swap, boosted by a heavy-hitting Holset HY35 turbo. Power is delivered through a crisp BRZ transmission conversion, giving this wagon all the high-rpm control needed to throw massive angles down the track. To handle the extreme steering requirements of drifting, the front end relies on Dontsuck.jp high-angle knuckles, while the rear driveline utilizes a heavy-duty Dontsuck.jp STi-to-Nissan axle conversion to reliably transfer all that flat-six torque to the pavement. @brokenmotorsports bash was an absolute blast as always but the car we brought actually worked this time.

@thatgreenleggy and I split a sweet little RS Wagon and threw a bunch of his old parts on it. This rwd unit was an absolute blast. We literally drive the wheels and brakes off it!

Definitely already planning another outting because I couldn't get enough 😁

WA ——> PA 6,000 mile GTB Roadtrip:

You read that right; my 1997 Subaru Legacy GTB went from our home in Yelm, Wa, ALL the way to Manheim-York, PA & back to tell the tale! Absolute banger of a trip, great times with some of my favorite people and some new faces along the way!

GTB has absolutly solidified its permenant spot on our fleet, no issues, no oil consuption, 25MPG & performed flawlessly carrying all the parts that paid for the trip itself. Thank you to all whole helped with the trip as well as the friends we were able to crash with along the way. Special shoutout to @oh_no_its_phil for the BTS shots from Ohio to Pennsylvania.

On the return home, we got the chance to stop at @subaru_usa Lafayette plant for a photo op!

This very well may be the first JDM 2nd Gen Legacy GTB to drive across the country and back. A trip I’ll never forget and very well may do again! 🫶🏻

Boxerfest ‘26, Day 3.
I woke up early to get back over to @dsautoworks_ to meet up with the gang to drive over to the show. It was already raining lightly and the forecast didn’t show any relief until the afternoon. With Alex’s windshield in Kaleidoscope-spec after the mishap the night before, he asked if I could lead. So we set off to York and in spite of the circumstances we all enjoyed ourselves on the highway. Nothing beats mobbing down the road with your pals.

Once we got to the show load in we found the familiar chaotic scramble of well-meaning volunteers that quickly started splitting our group up. Determined to make sure we stayed together, @ajyguy quickly saw a hole in the line and long story short for the first time in years we were all able to park together. “I didn’t come all the way across the country just for them to not park us together” Anthony said. High fives all around.

We settled in under our canopy tents as the rain didn’t relent until after noon. In spite of that we made the most of it.

We didn’t venture out much other than to get lunch (thanks Adam and Maddie!) and to do a lap to catch some of the autocross and see the other cars. We were happy to see @alexthekidfrank win best in the Old School Class with his Justy, @zectuna won his class in autocross and Nathaniel got 2nd in his. @stay_posi_bro even won $500 he said he would buy us all something nice 😉

And of course, we ended the day with the GC meet that I’m always so thankful to @dl3r_ for organizing. I think this might have been one of the best turn-outs for GC’s I’ve seen, and I’m always inspired to see what Dan came up with since last year for his car.

Everyone trickled out and suddenly it was just Amanda, Rowan and I, eager to hit the road and get back home. I am so thankful to share these friendships and this passion with my family. Baby’s 1st Boxerfest may not have been ideal on paper, but it will certainly always stand out my mind. Also, incredibly proud to finally have the Impreza to a point I felt comfortable having it in the show. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to talk.

Boxerfest ‘26, Day 2
Woke up to a dreary mist and decided to spend a slow morning as a family in Lititz. We visited the ducks at the park before going to get groceries for the cookout later at Alex’s.

We showed up at @dsautoworks_ for the cookout where we caught up with the rest of the group as they rolled in. Build updates, mysterious motor swaps unveiled, goals for the future, laughter and introductions filled the air along with the smell of burgers and dogs on the grill, manned by @djbarbell

Bailey gave me a tour of @pizzaboymetalworks HQ and we reflected on how much a life can change from asking a simple question or meeting a new face. We came back to the cookout and this sentiment really resounded in my head while I looked around at some of the best individuals I have the privilege to know, and to think it all came back to meeting around these goofy cars.

As the night went on, there was a moment when all of the conversations went quiet as Alex returned from giving Zeke a ride in the postal wagon. The hood had not been latched when someone closed it, which Alex was unaware of, and in a second the hood, windshield, and roof had all been crumpled when it flew up. After the initial shock and disappointment of Alex’s hard work undone, several of us rallied around the car in the shop to see if anything could be done, as the car was supposed to be in the show the next day.

With several thought out hammer blows and some packing tape, the worst of the damage was at least presentable. The accident certainly changed the tone for the evening, however Alex’s attitude and everyone else’s support I think carried through louder.

There’s so much we assume is in our control and at times are humbled, for better or for worse, by how fast things can change. And we may never know just how much our words (or silence), can alter the course.

Boxerfest weekend is something I always look forward too. It is by far my favorite weekend of the year. Great cars, great people, and amazing vibes. I wouldn’t trade it for anything
