What a joyful experience this was!
Every moment!

Hundreds of kids, 14 locations, five chemistry modules, and so many days filled with laughter, dancing, curiosity, and discovery. We have so many moments and stories from Be a Chemist™ to share, so we’ll be sharing them little by little.

Be a Chemist™ was presented by Chrysalis Development Group, a nonprofit bringing free, hands-on STEM experiences to young people across our community, in partnership with GSK Science in the Summer™ and The Franklin Institute, with support from the City of Alexandria RPCA team.

A special thank you to all of our teen volunteers, instructors, mentors, and supporters, including Professor Farrokh from Northern Virginia Community College, Cesar, and our hardworking Teen Science Café team. Your time, energy, and commitment made these days even more special.
