Six years of Beats, Vines & Life, and now I’m competing in Top Host for a shot at my own six-episode podcast produced by iHeartRadio.
It also supports something bigger than any of us. Burgenland has always stood somewhat apart from the rest of Austria. Today, that sense of difference is helping fuel a new chapter for the region’s wines. Producers are looking more closely at traditional grapes, regional terroir, and low-intervention methods while forging an identity that doesn’t always fit neatly within Austria’s established wine system.

Their success has brought new attention from wine enthusiasts across the globe, but also new tensions over how quality and origin of Burgenland wines are defined. The wine world is climbing higher. Armenia has been there for millennia. 🍷⛰️

What happens to wine when vineyards grow at 1,000, 1,400, even 1,600 meters above sea level?

I explored altitude, indigenous grapes and 6,100 years of winemaking history in my latest Chronicles of Glass Nomad.

Read the full story on Substack. Link in bio.

And if you’d rather taste the story than read it, Armenia with Glass Nomad is coming May 2027. 🇦🇲

Stagione 2025:
- Ouverture IV movimento: Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc.
- Pinot nero Atto I Scena III: Pinot nero in purezza
