Now that the high street is re-opening, we wanted to add some of that Holly & Co magic and colour to what can often be such a grey landscape. No more horrid 'caution-style' hazardous signs ⚠️ or black and white stickers... but stickers with heart, courage, and a message (or two!) to make you smile!

I want you to all open your doors wide with smiles, confidence, and courage because I KNOW how hard it is to step back out onto your shop floor without worry. These should be a little helping hand 🙌🏻 from us to you.

Also, I love how these can be used anywhere - from a shop, to hairdressers, schools to offices, studios to restaurants - it is endless where these stickers can delight and just make everything feel a little less scary.

I ADORE that it gave me the chance to work with three amazing artists 🎨 thank YOU @nicolarowlands @rosiejohnsonillustrates & @angela.chick.illustration as you managed to make something rather serious, bright, fun, and above all inviting. PLUS I finally have the gorgeous artwork @alicegabb created for us for #CampaignShopIndependent stuck on my shop floor ready to welcome in guests.

When lockdown first happened I switched this banner around (it has a lovely floral backdrop). 2020 was not going to be anyone’s year, and for so many people it hasn’t been. I’m one of the lucky ones that’s still here, and that is something I’m so grateful for, but it might not be my year next year, or the year after, who knows what is going to happen. So whilst I am still here, what is my purpose, how can I do the most whilst I am here? It’s certainly my privilege that allowed me time to reflect, I know so many people haven’t been afforded that luxury. I started out in marketing, and one job after another, I lost my way as a certain type of person (just go onto LinkedIn and you’ll know who I mean) made me loose my confidence and question if I really knew anything at all. I’ve been working in marketing, teaching and the online world for over 12 years, so definitely think I’ve picked up a thing or two. Over the next few months I’m going to be defining exactly what it is, what the next chapter looks like. I wanted to start a whole new IG page, the perfectionist in me wanted to do it quietly but it’s going to look messy and that’s ok. If people want to move on, cos I change direction that’s ok too. I want to help small businesses build confidence, resilience, charge their worth, take those leaps into the unknown. I’ll be launching the course I keep talking about called ‘How To Work With Influencers’ in mid July. And for those that can’t wait that long I’ll be offering one to one calls from next week. NO ONE BELONGS HERE MORE THAN YOU DO // words never rang more true. We have been working so hard in the last few years to be as inclusive and representative as possible - in terms of skin colour, size, age, sexual orientation, disabilities, etc. Stepping out of that predefined image/standard/perception that’s been perpetuated by the media & brands for as long as we can all collectively remember has taken a huge conscious effort, and it’s with no fear of speaking out that I say we have come across some very real stumbling blocks that have made this progress slower than I would’ve wanted it to be. I’m talking about designers who ignored our calls for wider representation in their own marketing (but are all too quick in jumping on the bandwagon, as long as no one is allowed to comment/call them out), model agencies that would only put forward size 6 white models (or size 12 white models when we asked for plus size... just to be told “sorry we don’t have anyone in that size” when we asked for size 18+), media outlets that would purposely refuse publishing a shoot because of the presence of black models... I mean, the list goes on. I’m not trying to make excuses and/or make ourselves look good, but I’m reflecting on a status quo that has truly made it A LOT harder. I’m also under no illusion we could have, and in fact should have, done more and not been deterred by those obstacles. So for that, I apologise. Change starts NOW. After a very emotional week when I’ve had ample time to think and reflect, I just want you all to know that we want to represent you. In fact, we DO represent you. No matter the colour of your skin, your sexual orientation, your size, your more or less visible disabilities, your age, etc. We are as diverse as a team as you could possibly imagine, and we represent a variety of designers from different backgrounds who cater for everyone. So, going back to @alicegabb’s words... No one belongs here more than you do. We can’t wait to welcome you all back in July, and carry on the conversation with an open heart. Much love x

Reminiscing on @mostcuriouswedfair back in February... how does that feel like a lifetime ago?! An amazing, inclusive event that led to meeting so many incredible suppliers and wonderful brides.
