Halfway through the blazing Year of the Fire Horse, August edition of our @hkcronline radio series for Lethal Fantasies brings together Bussy Temple co-founder and Southeast Asian underground force @metamoksha with music producer and multidisciplinary artist Reka @reka.u.reka , a fresh promising force in the scene to be reckoned with. Bound at first sight through the magic of the dance floor on an auspicious night in Bangkok earlier this year, the pair explore their special connection to each other and the expansiveness of the universe through music. Tune in at midnight tonight on HKCR.live . — This is just a prelude, stay tuned for announcements soon to their live performance at Bussy Temple on 12 September 👀 — Reka is a DJ, producer, musician, and multidisciplinary artist whose sound operates as a portal through structural boundaries and physical form. Evolving from a practice rooted in cinema, visual arts, and text-based work, her entry into the underground sonic realm marks a shift from observing reality to embodying it. Moving between deconstructed club, heavy bass, industrial textures, and hyper-sensory rhythms, her selections and productions treat sound as a lived, somatic imperative. Highly sensitive to themes of oppression, identity, and liberation, her sets dismantle categorization and rules in favor of visceral, unapologetic freedom. We went out on a date <3 Rooted in Southeast Asia’s underground music scene, Malaysia-born Viktoria (@rempitgoddess) and Myanmar-born Lynn (@lynnnandarhtoo) move between DJing, producing, and exploring sounds, unfolding traditional Southeast Asian instruments into bass-heavy, industrial electronics and beyond. When we met they just came back from this year’s Le Guess Who festival in Utrecht, when they screened their documentary on @align.online.sea - a platform highlighting queer femmes and electronic music pioneers in Southeast Asia.
