An 8/9 at my first national meet?? I call it 9/9 because that last deadlift PR was too easy🤪

Went over the RAWNats QT by 12.5kgs, and you know what? I’m not stopping there…

I guess I should set records for how long it takes me to post Powerlifting Recaps😂

Thank you of course to @thegainsmanifesto for being a phenomenal coach and getting me to qualify for CNATS this upcoming April, so excited to see what else I can do.

This competition was rough, and prep was rougher. Cut from May to November and then cut too far, weighing in almost 5 lbs underweight for competition but I fought, and I made it. Yes I had plenty of candy throughout the meet and enough caffeine to kill a horse.

Squat:
117.5 kg - 259 lbs ⚪️⚪️⚪️
127.5 kg - 281 lbs ⚪️⚪️⚪️
132.5 kg - 292 lbs 🔴🔴🔴

Bench:
62.5 kg - 137.7 lbs ⚪️⚪️⚪️
67.5 kg - 148.8 lbs ⚪️⚪️⚪️
70 kg - 154.3 lbs 🔴🔴🔴

Deadlift:
125 kg - 275.5 lbs ⚪️⚪️⚪️
137.5 kg - 303 lbs ⚪️⚪️⚪️
150 kg - 330.6 lbs ⚪️🔴⚪️

When my coach said “balls to the walls” guys I had no idea how much was on the bar for my final deadlift. But there was so much pain, anger, and heartache going on to that platform that I only thought one thing walking to that bar: “one more”. Failing my thirds for squat and bench defeated me, but my coach just said “let’s go”. I wasn’t leaving the platform until I got the bar off the ground and when it stopped all I heard was my hitched breath and blood pounding in my ears. So I stood up.

I lost important people to me last year, and as corny as it sounds, powerlifting saved me. Because you know what? It’s not about the motivation. It’s not about if you want to go when you’re tired, sore, sad, or all of the above. You are the only one in the end that accomplishes your goals, and the one that stands in your way. So what will you do to influence your journey?

Thank you to my team @umichpowerlifting, my friends, family, and of course, myself. And as always 𝕸𝖆𝖐𝖊 𝖙𝖍𝖔𝖘𝖊 𝖜𝖊𝖎𝖌𝖍𝖙𝖘 𝖞𝖔𝖚𝖗 𝖇𝖎𝖙𝖈𝖍.
