You say dancing is expensive?

I’d sell my soul — and then borrow money — just to step onto that dance floor again.

🇦🇪 Alisa’s first-ever dance competition.

For me, it’s an incredible feeling to be part of someone’s dream coming true. So let me tell you our story.

On August 11th, Alisa simply walked into a dance shop to buy a pair of shoes. Just 15 minutes later, she somehow ended up taking a lesson with me. That’s where I heard about her dream of competing one day.

I immediately suggested the upcoming competition, which was happening on September 12th.

Of course, I knew we had very, very little time. Getting on the competition floor after just one month would require an insane amount of work.

Alisa politely said no at first — she was planning a trip to Europe and waiting for her visa. And, honestly, deep down I was really hoping she wouldn’t get it.

Then one day Alisa came to training in tears. I thought something really serious had happened…

Turns out, her visa had been refused. 😅

So, naturally, I asked her again: “What about the competition?”

This time, she said yes.

And that’s when our intense preparation began: 5 choreographies, almost daily training, and a huge amount of work.

Then, just three days before the competition, we found out that Alisa had a torn meniscus, and putting too much stress on her leg could be dangerous.

I was just as disappointed as she was. But Alisa simply asked:

“Daniil, would it be okay if I dance with kinesiology tape on the competition ?”

So we kept going. We reduced the load, adapted the training — and…

Voilà! Our first competition happened.

The foundation has been laid.
And this is only the beginning.
