Some places make every mile worth it.
We paddled 2 miles up the Wailua River, hiked another 3 miles through the jungle, and ended up here. Watching my wife swim beneath Secret Falls surrounded by our family and beauty was one of those moments that reminds you why adventure matters.

We’ve been asked a lot lately what made us choose Carolina Beach.

Honestly, I asked ChatGPT for the best beach town to raise a family on the East Coast and this was the answer for our criteria.

and this is how CB celebrates the last day of school at the Elementary school… the entire community… police, fire, families, teachers… lining the streets to cheer the kids on and blast them with water balloons.

Thanks, Chat… you were right 👌🏻

This is my love letter to every woman who has ever been part of my story.

The ones still in it and the ones who have moved on. The ones where we simply loved each other in the chapter we were given and honored each other enough to close it.

I hold all of it with gratitude.

Some of you came in when I was breaking and held me together without even knowing it.

Some of you came in to crack something open in me that needed to be cracked.

Some of you walked in at the exact moment I needed a mirror, a laugh, a reality check, or just someone to sit with me in it.

And some of you… you’re lifers. You know who you are.
The ones who have seen my mess, my darkness, my most unhinged moments and never flinched.

The ones I don’t have to explain myself to.
The ones where we can go weeks without talking and pick back up like no time has passed.

It’s the prayers we’ve said together in circle.
The intentional spaces we’ve created and sat in.
The conversations that went to places most people are too afraid to go.

Challenging the taboo. Questioning what we were told. Choosing our own path even when it looked nothing like what anyone around us was doing.

That devotion. To the path. To becoming. To never settling for a version of ourselves that felt too small.

Sisterhood in prayer built something in me that I could not have built alone.

You are the reason I never feel alone.

Without sisterhood I wouldn’t hold the confidence I carry. The fierceness. The inner knowing. The capacity to love as deeply as I do. The courage to be exactly who I am without apology.

I am proud of who I am.
I am proud of the pain I trudged through and what I built from it.
I am proud that I chose my own path.

Even when it was lonely. Even when it was misunderstood. Even when I had to walk parts of it alone before my people found me.

Women cannot rise alone.

We were never meant to.

Past and present.
Near and far.
The ones I talk to every day and the ones I only hold in my heart now.

Every single one of you has a place in me.
The crossing of our paths changed me.
Sisterhood is everything.

10 years old and already chasing the sky’s limits. Watching @judah_furderer up there was one of those proud dad moments I won’t forget. Brave, curious, and always chasing the next adventure. You’ve already done so much in your first decade, and it’s been the honor of my life getting to be your dad and watch it all unfold.
I can’t wait to see the man you become… but no rush, kid. Enjoy the ride. Special thanks to @wade.hanchey for taking up the whole family and sharing the stoke.

Carolina Beach is white 🤯❄️
Snow day turns into a beach skate day. Watching my son snow skate at the beach is something I’ll never forget.

My daughter Eden. You are so brave and sweet. I love you more than anything and promise to always be by your side. I cherish these days with you and watching you grow. A big thank you to my amazing wife for everything you do. No words can say how much I love you.
