We often think of healthcare as something that happens in hospitals, clinics, or through medications.

But what if one of the most powerful places for prevention is actually your own kitchen?

🌎 Poor diet is one of the leading risk factors for death worldwide. The Global Burden of Disease Study estimates that dietary risks are associated with approximately 11 million deaths every year, driven largely by cardiovascular disease, cancers, and other chronic conditions.

🥤 At the same time, ultra-processed foods have become a major part of our modern food environment. A large study following more than 100,000 adults for over 30 years found that higher consumption of ultra-processed foods was associated with a higher risk of premature death.

So why does cooking matter?

Because cooking is a health skill. Research has shown that people who cook at home more frequently tend to have healthier dietary patterns, including eating more fruits and vegetables and consuming fewer calories, sugar, and unhealthy fats.

And here is the part we often overlook:

We make food choices multiple times every day. Those choices add up over years and decades, influencing our healthspan, the years we live in good health. This is why food is one of the six pillars of Lifestyle Medicine.

And to me, longevity doesn’t begin when disease appears. It begins with the habits we build long before, at home, with our family.

The kitchen is not just where we make meals. It is where we build the foundation for our future health.

In a world where convenience often replaces connection with food, learning how to prepare nourishing meals is a powerful health skill 💫

A huge thank you to @kailo_uae @latelierconsulting for inviting me to host this Kitchen Series using their amazing wellness products and for creating a space where science, food, and connection came together, with delicious recipes that made healthy eating feel simple and enjoyable. In collaboration with @organicfoodsandcafegcc and @the.demo.kitchen

I couldn’t have asked for a better group of ladies 🥹❤️

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the most wonderful baby shower. I honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. All the little detail, all the love you poured into it, the laughter, the creativity, and simply just having everyone together made it so incredibly special.

I am definitely feeling so loved and celebrated before this little boy arrives is something I’ll never forget. You have all made this chapter of my life even more magical, and I’m so grateful to have friends like you by my side.

Thank you for giving me memories I’ll treasure forever and for making me feel so spoiled and loved.

I love you all so much, and I can’t wait for you to meet our little bundle of joy. He is already so lucky to have such an amazing village around him. Thank you again for everything it truly means the world to me 🥹🥰💙
