It's hard to believe that we are half-way (!!!) through our second cohort's journey! We wanted to mark the occasion by asking Cohort #002 how they had found the course this far and what they had gained from it.

It's not too late to sign up to our courses! Head over to forgeconducting.com to learn about our application process.

Ciara & Gavin ♥️
Beautiful, intimate ceremony at @siriusartscentre led by the wonderful @carolcottercelebrant and beautiful musical accompaniment from @alisonronaynesinging. Then a quick stop at @thelastdropcobh (cracking bar on the water!) before the party started in earnest at @viennawoodshotel.
A really lovely day with a thoroughly lovely bunch! Huge congratulations again you guys. 🙏♥️

It makes no sense to the algorithm to post a 4 minute video but this cover from our Spring Fling Part Deux is genuinely such a professional highlight in the lifetime of FOPE. It was a shark-jumping risk to include it in the set list but with great risk comes great reward! The band is locked in, the crowd understood the assignment and the vibes are as stunning as a Negroni Sbagliato (with Prosecco in..)

In short - Unhinged ❤️

The band :

Keys 1 and shoulder shimmies - @mairead.scoleary
Keys 2 and delft smashing - Joe Kiely
Backing Vocals and immaculate vibes - @katiehollytheatre and @alisonronaynesinging
Bass and rock’n’roll - @josullivan7
Drums and raw animal magnetism - Brendan Fennessy
Guitar, musical direction and face full of Kate Bush induced joy - @johnboyleguitar
Vocals, haphazard choreography and living her best life - @muirvelous

Captured live and edited by the legends of @lemon7.ie
@cyprusavenuecork

And last, but certainly no means least, is our final cohort announcement for Cohort #002. Please welcome Alison Ronayne from Ireland! 🇮🇪

Singer, Vocal Coach and Choir Conductor, Alison is the co-owner of Voiceworks Studio, a singing school in Cork, Ireland. Holding a first-class honours BA in Popular Music, Alison draws on her passion and knowledge of vocal technique when conducting her two community choirs of over 100 women.

Having a passion for harmonies since childhood, Alison began working with choirs in 2021 after years of singing and arranging backing vocals. Alison has been in a choir herself and sang with artists such as The Staves, Ben Howard, Angie MacMahon and Efterklang. Her choir has had the pleasure of performing with touring artists during their tour to Cork such as Leif Vollebeck, Angie MacMahon and Damien Rice and most recently in September 2025 performing at The National Concert Hall in Dublin.

Alison is passionate about community and creating a space where everyone feels at home and curious to explore their voice, and maybe even develop their own passion for harmonies.

Just over one week to go for September Cohort sign ups! Check out forgeconducting.com for details.
