The best teachers never stop being students. 🧠

One of the things we value most at the Pilates Magic Retreat is a commitment to continued learning. As Katie reminds us, growth doesn’t come from repeating what we already know… it comes from staying curious, exploring new perspectives, and being willing to experience familiar work in a new way.

In this teaching moment, a foundational exercise becomes an opportunity for discovery. By changing the position, new information emerges! Greater support through the backline, a more connected powerhouse, and a fresh understanding of a movement that we have practiced HUNDREDS of times before.

This is the kind of teaching you’ll find throughout our retreat. Not just instruction, but exploration. Not just exercises, but opportunities to deepen your understanding of the body and your practice.

As Romana Kryzanowska believed, a long and meaningful teaching career begins with remaining a student.

35 used to feel too young for a cancer diagnosis. It doesn't anymore.

In our Not Too Young breakout, Dr. Patti O'Brien-Richardson sat down with Shari Ungerleider of JScreen, pelvic health specialist Alissa Alter, cancer advocate Amri Kibbler, and gynecologic surgeon Dr. Jessica Opoku-Anane to unpack what's actually driving the rise in breast and colon cancer, and earlier perimenopause, in women under 50. Genetics? Environment? Better diagnostics finally catching what used to get missed? The panel didn't land on one answer, and that was kind of the point.

What they agreed on: pelvic floor care should be treated as preventative medicine, not an afterthought. Genetic screening comes with real decisions attached, not just a test result. And self-advocacy in a doctor's office is exhausting, invisible work that too many women are doing alone.

Save this before your next appointment.

Celebrating Summer The only way we know how! ☀️☀️☀️☀️

THE best part of FITLOFT has never been the equipment or the workouts—it’s the people. ❤️

So grateful for a team that genuinely enjoys being together, supports one another, and feels more like family than coworkers.

Days like this remind us that the connections we build outside the gym are just as important as the ones we build inside .

Here’s to laughter, sunshine, and a team we truly love. ☀️💙. Missing a few , but the best team ever 💪💪

🪄Inside the beauty of the Manoir and surrounded by Gratz apparatus, we explored not only how the work is done —
but how it can be deeply felt, understood, and embodied.
✨This is the culture we are building:
one that honors the original work while allowing people to fully come alive through it.

I’ve been thinking about this series for a long time.

Not because women suddenly started struggling in midlife… but because I kept noticing how many intelligent, capable women were quietly trying to navigate major physical, emotional, hormonal, relational, and identity shifts with very little real conversation or meaningful support.

So I decided to create one.

Mend Your Menopause is a thoughtfully curated conversation series centered around women’s health in midlife and beyond.

Throughout the 2026/2027 season, I’ll be bringing together a carefully selected group of practitioners and voices across women’s health and wellness to discuss topics ranging from pelvic floor health and sexuality to hormones, mental health, relationships, movement, recovery, sleep, metabolism, and more.

No more pretending women disappear after 40.

The conversation begins June 17, 2026.

When I started having perimenopause symptoms, no one told me what was going on. Instead, I was blown off and gaslit. When I empowered myself to learn about what was going on in my body AND mind, my story changed. I want you to have a better early perimenopause experience than I did. Not only do I embrace change, I foment it. ✊️✊️

That’s why I’m launching:

Mend Your Menopause
A Monthly Women’s Health Conversation Series at Mend

This series was created to bring women together for honest, evidence informed conversations around:

hormones
pelvic health
sleep
stress
RAGE
nervous system regulation
inflammation
intimacy
strength
body composition
and the changing physiology of the midlife body

Our first session will feature:

Dr. Tanvi Maharaja, PT, DPT, OCS of Pelvic PT Plus
Dr. Komal Yadav, MD of Samskara Integrative Health

This is not about fear. It's about the FIRE inside of us and keeping it 🔥🔥🔥

WE deserve better conversations around women’s health.
